Agreed, Ginnie, then we may need a few shorts to get us through the next four years. smile
Ginnie Hart: More than a few, Frank, I'm sure!
After eight years trying to live a healthy lifestyle, it''s four more years of very unhealthy habits. Hopefully, we don't wreck the planet too much.(see my latest post).

But here's to the fine man who saw the best in his people. His people people on the other hand...
Ginnie Hart: The comparisons between the two are already astounding everyone, I think, Michael. It's enough to make one want to cry...or throw a hissy fit!
Very good Ginnie - A lovely photo, nicely composed... and a lovely sentiment. I do believe President Obama will be remembered as one of our greatest. And Trump - quite the opposite.
Ginnie Hart: The differences between the two will continue to flabbergast us all, Elizabeth, I'm sure. I read yesterday that Trump's grammar usage is at 6th grade level. (sigh)

It seems you are having a party, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: A party of sorts, Ray, but it's hard to call it that when many don't want him to go! But it is as it it. We celebrate his legacy, for sure. We celebrate HIM!

He and Michelle will be missed. I agree a proper toast to him and all the best for him and his family.
Fabulous shot for this occasion.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. I hope they've seen all the FB requests to please not go!!!

Je suis sûre que le président Obama et sa famille apprécieraient.
Ginnie Hart: They will be sorely missed, Martine!
Did you finish all these Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, I'd like to think there will be more, Chad, to last the next 4 years (in remembrance).

I agree with you - what a noble, serious man with so many good ideas - I am sure he will be remembered as a very good personality! Es ist ein Jammer with Trump!
Ginnie Hart: He will be sorely missed by many, Philine, especially in the days to come!

I love the reflections of the table setting in the glassware; I thought that they were etched at first. So is your's and Astrid's normal evening's drinking? wink
Ginnie Hart: This was taken through a window from the outside, Alan, so good eye. But, no, not our normal drinking. One glass is sufficient...unless we change our minds in the days to come! smile
I was watching a documentary on PBS america about Martin Luther King. I hope the sort of racist behaviour so prevalent then will not resurface under Trump
Ginnie Hart: I so agree with you, Bill. It seems like there's been a lot of deja vu lately. But I'd like to believe the majority in the USA will not put up with it!

Heck, I missed a good party! Excellent picture.

So they will want to dismantle Obamacare. In many a country, it wont be possible to take away a benefit like that, without replacing it with something better. So, I will be following this particular saga.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. We ALL will be watching The Saga of a lifetime, I'm sure. (sigh)

too bad he didn't veto the number of years a president could be in office lol nice picture, very pretty greens
Ginnie Hart: I actually agree with the two-term limit, Elaine, but it also needs to extend to Congress, imho! Thanks.
Cheers to a great man.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed so, Mary!
Cheers and then into the abyss we go
Ginnie Hart: Let's all hope it won't be nearly as bad as it could be, Martin. (sigh)
He was certainly an improvement on the Bush clown, sadly it seems all his hard work is going to be thrown to the four winds by the 'thing' taking over on Friday, the man with no idea of diplomacy who can only be a real threat to the safety of us all, wherever we live. Pass me three of those glasses, full to the brim, please!
Ginnie Hart: I think we're all hanging onto each other, Brian, with fear and trepidation. Maybe he'll surprise us all...or not?! (sigh)
We've been toasting daily here! What a class act!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Robin. I know!
Magnifique rendu du verre et très belle lumière
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Marie.
Four years is a long wait, G!
Ginnie Hart: I know, LC. Maybe we won't have to wait so long????
The new man should get a roasting, not a toasting!
Ginnie Hart: I believe it's well under way, Tom?
His Presidency will certainly be missed by Canadians.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Michael. I know.
