That is a beauty. It looks like a frosty misty morning.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. It was a rare day when the temp was below freezing and we had fog, creating a frosty landscape, yes!
A very beautiful, mystical, magical shot, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you Elizabeth. Our entire citadel city was transformed that day!

I agree with Elizabeth. It almost looks like B&W. I never get tired of watching (and hearing) these big barges. what a great shot and I know, there will be more where this cam from wink...
Ginnie Hart: I am SO glad you made me promise to go out to capture images like this that day. THANK YOU. And yes, many more where this came from!
You and me are in the mist today. It's beautiful
Ginnie Hart: Indeed we are, Marie. How wonderful to share the moment with you!
Très joli ce bateau caché par les arbres givrés.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Martine. It was magical.

Best hope that the radar on the ship works well in weather like this. The mist and the freezing temperatures is a photographer's dream. I know when it is fogy at home even without linking out of the window; i can hear the distant foghorn at Dockhead.
Ginnie Hart: Thankfully, Alan, this barge is usually stationed there and doesn't need its radar. I'd love to know more of that story! But, yes, it was definitely a photographer's dream that day!

The first one looks a bit chilly Ginnie, but the days are lengthening now..
Ginnie Hart: Very chilly, Chris, but appropriate for this time of the year, thankfully. Maybe one of these days we'll even get snow? Till then, frost works for me.

I am so pleased that Astrid winkled you out, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'd expect that from you, Lisl. In fact, apart from making a new year's resolution, my plan is to get out at least one more day per week than I normally do. It's a doable goal! smile
Merci , ta photo est vraiment très belle !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Claudine.

C'est bien gelé!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Anne, it was...at least for us. It hovered around the freezing point, which doesn't always happen here.
A fine atmospheric picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bill.
it looks like boats speak the same language in every country.. hehe... i like peeking at it through the skinny trees! neat shot, sister!
Ginnie Hart: I suppose boats DO speak the same language the world over, Elaine. Good point! And thank you.
I like the addition of the white frame with t e thin black line. Sets the fine photo off perfectly
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for noticing, Mary. smile
resting in the fog Ginnie... love it....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. Nothing like the fog!
I like this Ginnie, lots of atmosphere, it ties with my posting today of the first Boat Friday shot of 2017.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Brian. We're on the same page, fog or no fog.
