I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Ginnie Hart: We DID, Michael, and again on our 2nd Christmas Day today...off to see "Rogue One" in Rotterdam. smile

I can't make out what is in the hand, Ginnie - it looks like an extra finger!
Ginnie Hart: It looks like a stylus, maybe, Lisl???

A wonderful detail of this little angel. I wonder what is between the fingers, I hope it is not an extra finger as Lisl thinks....because it looks cut off.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Astrid. It reminds me of a stylus but who knows.

"Look, it says here 'Thou shall not do housework or go to the sales on the second day of Christmas but enjoy quality time instead with friends and loved ones' " It's a wonderful close-up of the detail.
Ginnie Hart: We're going off to Rotterdam with friends to see the new Star Wars movie, "Rogue One," Alan. That's exactly what the day is for!

A great detail - I wonder what the sitting persons holds between his fingers - no cigarette for sure. These words by John were theme in our Christmas Eve's sermon.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philine. It looks like a stylus to me?

The cherub is pointing to the EXACT word in the book..
Ginnie Hart: That's what I thought, too, Chris! The verse from John was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this.

A lesson in "flight".
Ginnie Hart: Perhaps?????
Fabulous detail shot Ginnie, excellent light too.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chad. I'm a glutton for this kind of statue.
These days he would be holding a mobile phone
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right, Bill. smile
The day to read the books you got for Christmas.
Ginnie Hart: That's a good one, Mary.
The little cherub is pointing where you can get Virginia ham in Holland!
Ginnie Hart: Next time I'll have to pay better attention, LC, because I would LOVE to find some!

Excellent posting. Just love it, although I wonder what the adult person has between his fingers. Probably some kind of stylus.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. I do assume it's a stylus, indeed. Those were the days!
Beautiful details of architecture. Perfect for this moment of the year
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. It seemed appropriate once I thought of the scripture for it.
What a delightful find, you and Lisl have an eye for capturing the things in churches I usually miss!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Brian. But you also capture things I would have missed!
I learned several words this year., "Demagogue" in particular was made flesh. Tand from a certain film, another was "rebellion." But I'm not sure about that one.
Ginnie Hart: Some words we don't want to be reminded of right now, Michael. (sigh)
i love the angel learning to read... it looks like the teacher is smoking a cigar Ginniegrin
Harpy 2nd day of Christmas...
i hope that you and Astrid enjoy the movie....peter:
Ginnie Hart: I think that's a stylus, Peter...which most of us have long forgotten. HA!

We had a GREAT time at the movie...one of the best in the Star Wars saga...even with a bit piece at the end of Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). Who knew she'd be gone so soon....
That little arm... so precious...
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Larry.
This is a lovely statue - or a lovely part of a lovely statue!
Happy 2nd Christmas day!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and Thank you, Elizabeth.
A very nice shot of that fine sculpture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.

i love the beginning of John!! is that a little angel pointing to 'the Word'...? so sweet, i love this picture!!
Ginnie Hart: I love the beginning of John's gospel, too, Elaine. That's what I thought of immediately when I saw this image. "In the beginning was the Word....."

Lovely image smile

Yes I think it is a stylus and the angel is pointing to the words.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Cherry. Are we so "old" that we've forgotten the stylus??? HA!
