That is awesome.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
No...But nice pic' Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: We're totally IN, Frank, and loving it. You'll get there soon, I'm sure. smile Thanks.
Love your processing on this, Ginnie!!!
I'm in the spirit for a Monday - and for Christmas as well! Right now, my dear husband is "ShutterChancing" under the glow of the Christmas tree! smile
Ginnie Hart: Good for you and for Frank. He'll catch up soon if he's "under the glow." smile

A fine collection of objects Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chris. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the wooden shoe...until I realized there's a huge Dutch influence in Belgium, of course!

Its is amazing how decorative a wooden shoe is...
A wonderful scene and yes I think I am in the spirit. Tomorrow I will take my Christmas tree to work and try to get some spirit over there too smile (note: the tree is 8 inch tall)
Ginnie Hart: I was delighted to see the wooden shoe, as you'd guess, Astrid. I keep forgetting about the Dutch influence in Belgium! smile I know your co-workers will be delighted to see your tree again.

Hmmmm... no! I probably won't be, either; I try to bury my head in the sand and look forward to 26th smile Was the speed fro sale? That would be an interesting object to wrap smile I bought a n new loo brush yesterday and asked for that to be gift-wrapped as they were going other things, but they did not do it! Something about if someone gave such a gift to her, should know exactly where she would ram it smile
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Alan. Just go eat some more fruit cake...and maybe eventually you'll be in the spirit? smile

We are at a farm shop - a great piece of selecting colour- you are master in this subject! I am now a bit in the spirit after visiting so lovely Christmas towns.
Ginnie Hart: Hasselt, Belgium, was like what I'd expect of a Germany Christmas market! It was wonderful. This isn't really selective coloring as much as desaturation in the processing. But thank you, Philine.
I put my two new sets of outside lights on my trees and this morning either set is working Ginnie, so the answer must be no.
Ginnie Hart: Uh-oh, Chad. That's not fun. But listen to this: Astrid decorated a wee tree (about 3' tall) here in our living room and a few days later the (old) lights burned out (the entire string). So we had to un-decorate the tree and decorate it again with new lights. (sigh) That was not fun.
I helped decorate my son's tree. That took spirit.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed so, Mary. smile

I have been in the 'spirit' all weekend, following the wedding. Maybe I should stock up on spirits, since we expect more after party guests, this afternoon.

Lovely picture.
Ginnie Hart: Spirits all around, then, Louis. Cheers. Proost. Thanks.

i looove wooden shoes, did you ever mention that to Astrid smile

And yes I'm getting in the spirit, we are totally snowed in here on our little side street, hubby can't go to work... which is a bummer, as he takes the day off without pay.

have appts on thursday, i hope the snow is under control by then!

lovely picture btw, love the treatment!!
Ginnie Hart: SNOW??? Oh, please, give some of it to me??!! Hang in there until Thursday.... And thanks.
That single clog really makes the picture Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I don't know it surprised me in Belgium, Brian, since so many there are "inclined" toward the Dutch instead of the French!

Very effective Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Anne.
Nice composition, beautiful collection
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Marie. I was pleasantly surprised to see the wooden shoe in Belgium. smile
Fine picture Ginnie. Our tree is up and I have been out with the sleigh but the weather is mild and wet and it doesn't feel much like Christmas yet
Ginnie Hart: We had "at freezing" temps for a couple days a week ago, Bill...then a week in the mid-40s before it's supposed to get back to freezing point tonight, I think? Whatever happened to a good, solid winter????
Nice presentation, Gonnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Tom.
there is a bit of everything old in this display Ginnie... great shot and treatment with the clog and the trees....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: It did strike my fancy, Peter, esp. seeing the wooden shoe at a Belgium Christmas market. smile Thanks.
What? You even brought your clogs to Belgium?! wink
Ginnie Hart: I know, I know. Just couldn't help it, LC (Actually, it quite took me by surprise, if you want to know the truth!)

I am getting there and this photo is helping smile
Ginnie Hart: Little by little, day by day. It helps that twinkly lights are coming on everywhere...and that the days are shorter at this time of the year (to showcase those twinkly lights).
usually not in the spirit, but i am heading back home for a family reunion in less than a couple of weeks, so it is all looking good. great shot, Ginnie. i like the clog nailed to the barrel.
Ginnie Hart: Hopefully you'll have good family time, Ayush, which is really what Christmas is mostly about, right?

Nope!

Xmas doesn't do much for me, Ginnie, and its just another work day in Thailand.
Ginnie Hart: Bah Humbug. There always has to be at least one amongst us, Ray. grin
I'm not one much for the end of year holidays...too much commercialism! It has really spoiled it for me! But I wish everyone a wonderful holiday!
Ginnie Hart: I hate the commercialism but love the lights, Robin. Since this is the time of shortest days and longest nights, I do like the lights, esp. inside our own house.

I would love to visit there some day soon! I love the little shoes smile
Ginnie Hart: When you get ready to come, just let us know! smile
Wouldn't see a wooden shoe here for Xmas. Looks good in this display.
Ginnie Hart: I was quite pleasantly surprised to see it in Belgium, Jacquelyn. smile
Definitely! What a lovely photo with the wooden shoe as the focal point!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Charles. You can never go wrong with a wooden shoe, in my humble opinion. smile
