That is great. I wish we had things like that on our buildings.
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Michael. And this is even INSIDE the church. Can you imagine that looking at your during the preacher's sermon?
Jolie sculpture assez impressionnante.
Ginnie Hart: I'm learning to appreciate the green men of England, Martine. smile

This is a wonderful Greenman, love the details and the colour of the wood.

Ginnie Hart: Good for you, Bonnie. smile
Did he Ginnie? Superb image!
Ginnie Hart: I think he's been doing it since from forever, Richard. No wonder he looks "intense." Thanks and it's good to see you back!

Some lovely detail in this. I'd never heard of green men before until I had that first meeting with with you, Astrid, Chris and Joy in St Cross, Winchester.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. I get my education every time we visit English churches with Lisl and/or Pauline, who take great delight in showing them to us!

This is a really good example Ginnie, I probably saw it myself last year
Ginnie Hart: There were several of these in a row in that church, Chris, as you may recall. I liked this one because of how it blended into the wall/pillar.
Bon conseil ..respirons !!
Bonne journée
Ginnie Hart: It's so natural but sometimes we need to THINK about it to do it properly. smile Thanks, Claudine.
Ah the much loved green men. I find myself looking for them now thanks to tiffo
Ginnie Hart: And for me, thanks to Lisl and Pauline!

Great find Ginnie, the green man is everywhere.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chad, and so I am finding out! Something new to "collect." smile

The green man is standing in the corner. He must have been naughty.
Ginnie Hart: He was the beginning bookend of a row of 6 green men, Louis, with another bookend to the right. So make that TWO who were "in the corner." smile
These little Green men come in all shapes and sizes, this is a great find.
Ginnie Hart: I am learning all about them, Brian, every time I visit your fair country. smile
Oh...the spider thread makes it perfect! Happy Monday!
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Robin, but you are the first to mention it. smile
some imagination of the one who carved this piece, Ginnie. reminds me of a project manager smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Astrid has such a manager at her work. I'll let her know what you said. smile
Just a superb sculpture
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. I'm at the Amsterdam airport right now and will need to wait till I get to my daughter's house to find your image from the 18th. Looking forward to it.

Ginnie Hart: The thing about these green men, Emily, is that you're afraid to ask. HA!
Lisl finds the green man in so many places Ginnie... i like this one carver out of wood... and your treatment brings out the details very well....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. Both Lisl and Pauline have gotten me hooked. Uh-oh. Another collection. smile
I'd like to see them over here, too...
Ginnie Hart: That would be too good to be true, Larry!

We all just love Green Man in our churches. smile
Ginnie Hart: It does give one pause, LC, for sure! smile
