It is very protective, against the weather, if you have steerage skills.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Ray...and my guess is that all of them have the zig-zagging skills they need.
Magnifique petit port.
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Martine. Merci.

This is a fabulous POV but then, this is a wonderful little harbour. Many movies were made here, in fact the ones that watch Poldark wink...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIiLR4ZiPMY
Ginnie Hart: It's like time when back a couple of centuries for me that day, Astrid. Indeed. Bedankt.

Shelter from the storm I suppose Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: No other reason, I suppose, Chris. smile

Looks pleasantly familiar, Ginnie. Perhaps I may go there next week
Ginnie Hart: Oh, how wonderful, Lisl. Give it a good chinwag, as did the 3 of us while we were there. smile

Oh yes, certainly smile I would love to have seen these old harbours in their full-on working days (before EU fishing quotas). Can you imagine huge waves crashing over those breakwaters?
Ginnie Hart: I can imagine it, indeed, Alan. Maybe that's why it's a favorite spot for filmmakers?!
Belle photo ..il doit falloir être adroit pour traverser ce passage !
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling they all have it down to a science by now, Claudine. smile Merci.
These places are just fabulous Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I'm falling in love with all of them, Chad!
Charlestown is a delightful place
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Bill. No wonder they have filming crews/sets there!

that's a cool construction.. boat launches i take it?

perfect shot, tooo, btw
Ginnie Hart: There are film crews that hover over this place, Elaine. So quaint and basically unchanged over the years, so they say. Thanks.
Lots of people hanging our seeing what was going on at the interesting wharf.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Mary, indeed! It's a favorite spot for filming crews.

You gotta get you cap's license in this harbour! Looks interesting, but I am missing the waterside pub. You know what a pub is? One of those places where Bill hangs out, to become happy grin
Ginnie Hart: Not something for a drunken sailor, Louis, for sure. HA! I didn't look for one that day but I'm quite sure there was a pub nearby, behind me!
Nice place isn't it, I believe a lot of television films are made there.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Brian...and no wonder!
i love your point of view and the framing of this wonderful little protected harbour Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. No wonder film crews love it there.
Fish and chips? He he... It's a must have when you visit a seaside town here. Did you have one?
Ginnie Hart: Not there, LC. We only stayed for a short walk-about and a good chin-wag up on the breaker wall. That's all. But I can still "feel" the place.

Very quaint smile The weather looks like it is coming in.
Ginnie Hart: You can totally understand why it's a favorite spot for the film crews, Cherry.
zigging and zagging... a good skill for politicians...
Ginnie Hart: (sigh)
A wonderful composition. I love the splashes of vibrant colour.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. It was a great place to visit.

Je suis passé ici
JP
Ginnie Hart: It's a special place, JP, isn't it!
amusing title, Ginnie. i hope somebody gets that orange tray before it gets down and out. i like the chunky blocks on the walls all around.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. Lots to see, for sure!
All I can think of is trying to maneuver a boat during a storm in this harbor! Great capture!
Ginnie Hart: If you're coming in from the storm, Robin, I have a feeling instinct takes over. I have a feeling no one even thinks about going out if a storm is in process and you're safely moored! HA! Thanks.

What a wonderful place to visit smile
Ginnie Hart: It actually was! Thank you for stopping by and commenting here, Nikki.
I like the people showing size so well here. Quite the zig zag too.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes people really ARE important for scale, Jacquelyn, indeed. Thank you.
Cornwall is magnificent, as Brittany. Nice composition Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. This is my second time to visit and I hope to go back as often as possible!
Oh that's great! And you had the perfect perspective to show this off!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. As you see, I'm catching up! smile
