Il fait froid, ils ont mis leur manteau.
Ginnie Hart: It was a bit chilly for all of us, Martine. smile
Looks a bit autumnal Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Bill...my favorite time of the year.

It is always a nice view to see these horses up close. Surprisingly no other cars on the road. Great picture.
Ginnie Hart: You and Pauline saw this before I did, so I was glad I caught it in time from the back seat! This is the kind of thing we could see here in the Netherlands but with very different surroundings!
Lucky girl, she is! What a great shot you were able to pick off!

And I do get a mid-week break... My day off. We'll take Terry and Rosemary to lunch, and then to see an amazing art exhibit at MONA (Museum of Northern Arizona).
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth, and good for you to get a break mid-week. Enjoy every minute of it and say HI to Frank. smile

The relaxed horses know this is just part of their routine every day
Ginnie Hart: Yes, I suppose they do, Chris. What a great thing to look forward to each day!

a nice scene - I wonder that the horses are still wearing a cloth, maybe, they are sensitive horses for riding.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philine. Are the blankets for the chill? I never know about these things.....

very nice, Ginnie. For some reason Cornwall looks like another country to me.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray. It looks like another country to me as well!!! I'd want to explore every square inch of it if I lived there!

A lovely rural scene. I think if you live in the country, Hunter-branded boots are compulsory.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. You clearly know more about these things than I do!
awwww beautiful babies... the horses i mean, the girl is sooo blessed!! as you were to see such a site and capture it!!
Ginnie Hart: These are the "views" that fill the soul, Elaine! Thank you.

A great country shot. Nice groom, won't you agree?

Horse blankets are to keep a good temp on the horse. The blanket is put on before the horse is stabled for what is expected to be a cold night. Or on a cool day, after a horse has worked hard and has been groomed. The hair on a horse grows longer against the cold of winter and falls out (long hairs) during spring. A sport or working horse's hair is cut during the winter - so the blanket makes up for the absence of long hair.
Ginnie Hart: You clearly have this all down to a science, Louis. smile Thank you.
I have never understood the horsey thing Ginnie, but we must all have things we cannot grasp. I can see that many people get enormous pleasure from these beasts.
Ginnie Hart: HA! It tickles me that some have no clue and others just know everything! smile
A fine experience of rural England.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Brian. smile
jolie scène!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.
I love this capture, Ginnie. Three best friends out for a walk.
Ginnie Hart: They all did seem to be companions at heart, Mary. smile
So charming and fresh! I always love that time of year when just a bit of fall is starting to show.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin, and I so agree!!!
i love it Ginnie... it is full of life....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. The kind of life that makes us all slow down a bit?!
Aww... How many Cornish pasties did you have there?
Ginnie Hart: Just one, LC...but I had lots of scones with clotted cream! smile
Gentle exercise for the horses smile
Ginnie Hart: It's something I need to do more often, Tom!!!

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Cherry.
a very nice crop, Ginnie. i imagine this lady enjoyed that walk. i really like the white patch down the forehead to the nose.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. I enjoyed watching the whole scene, albeit too briefly.
Nicely composed and I love the patches of autumn's colour.
