A Mid-Week Break

Sometimes we just need to sit and rest awhile in a beautiful place, even if in our mind's eye.

This is the perfect treatment for this picture. A dream like vision... It is a great place to sit down and enjoy....
A likey to me.
Ginnie Hart: How special of you, Astrid. THANK YOU. Today we celebrate NINE years since meeting each other here at SC. WOW! And it just keeps getting better and better....
So lovely! Great processing. I keep thinking how Paris and Florence have much alike...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. I've never been to Florence, but I'll take your word for it.
Simply wonderful Ginnie! Well done indeed.

Yes...as you illustrate very well, Ginnie...just sitting and taking it all in at a leisurely rate, can be very restful.
Ginnie Hart: It's something I should do more often, Ray! Thanks.

This looks like a hand-coloured Edwardian post-card, Ginnie, though the chairs are a bit later!
Ginnie Hart: I like that thought, Lisl. Hmmmm. Now you've got me thinking.....
Such a lovely place!
Do you prefer French or English gardens? wink
Ginnie Hart: It IS a lovely place...one of my favorite, LC. But, oh my, it never occurred to me to compare the English and the French gardens. My guess is that in the end, no one can top the English?!
excellent traitement!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.

Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, JP. Thank you.
A classical looking image Ginnie. I love those subdued tones and the fadedness of the picture.
Ginnie Hart: Kinda like a dream by now, Chad, right?! Thank you.
Seems everyone in Paris was too busy to take your wise advice. I would do it though. Nice treatment.
Ginnie Hart: It was while everyone else was working, I guess, Mary. But at least we were there! Thank you.

You have worked a wonder here. Likey.
Ginnie Hart: And you have made my day, Louis! Thank you.
Oh this is so beautiful! And TOTALLY agree. I'm just afraid in this beautiful place I'd never leave!
Ginnie Hart: It was hard to leave this spot, Robin, but the fun of visiting these gardens was knowing we'd eventually end up at this fountain. ANTICIPATION is part of the journey. smile

A delightful place. I'm pleased to see it without any people. I like your edit very much.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes we get to be lucky enough to miss the swarms of visitors/tourists, Alan! Thank you.
This reminds me of paintings... great subject!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
this wonderful scene is made for me Ginnie... lots of chairs to rest on... great treatment... as usual....petersmile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elaine. It's become one of my most favorite spots in all of Paris.
gorgeous shot, Ginnie. i like the fading branches - makes them look somewhat delicate. i agree this makes a nice spot to rest indeed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ayush. Of all the places in Paris, this might be at the top for me.
And who wouldn't want to sit here and contemplate for a while.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Brian. So we did!
What a sweet shot. I'd love to sit and walk here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Jacquelyn. You truly would love the place.
