Quelle jolie voûte !
Ginnie Hart: I found it quite pleasing to the eye, Martine. This is the bike and pedestrian passageway that runs through the Rijksmuseum.

WOW, love this one considering knowing how old this is.
I am glad they kept this passageway open after the 10 year renovation of the Rijksmuseum. A wonderful pace to be.
Ginnie Hart: It blows my mind to know this is the bike and pedestrian passageway through the museum, MLMA. I hope at least the pedestrians take time to look up!

There's often a lot going on above our heads Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: More than we usually know, for sure, Chris!

a wonderful photograph!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Philine.
Excellent Ginnie, this is what Monday is all about. A lovely series of arches.
Ginnie Hart: Of course, Chad, I thought of YOU! smile Thanks.
Some fine arches Philine. One day I would like to go in the Rijksmuseum
Ginnie Hart: Maybe one day you will, Bill! Let's plan on it.
Simply wonderful Ginnie! Well done indeed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard.

Fantastic architecture, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Pauline...even better in real life!
What a great subject for b/w, Ginnie. Perfect choice.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. It was a hard decision, however, because the colors were also lovely.

Looks great in b&w. I was confused that this would be the renovated Rijksmuseum, but then I remembered the passageway, that you mentioned as well.
Ginnie Hart: There was a 10-year renovation of the Rijksmuseum, Louis, and when the public found out they were planning to close off this passageway, there was a HUGE uproar against it. So, thankfully, it was kept. It really adds to the ethos because you can look inside the museum along the way, on both sides.
Oh this so reminds me of Guastavino's arch work here in a number of places in NYC...love!!
Ginnie Hart: Gotta love good arch work, Robin!!! Thanks.

Indeed! Looking behind is good, too. B&W suits this well.
Ginnie Hart: Up and behind. Good reminder, Alan. THanks.
Oh I still haven't been to this museum.

I am watching a series of travel programmes about American railway on BBC. I shall let you know when they take us to GA! wink
Ginnie Hart: If you ever come to visit us, LC, we'll take you to this museum. But you'll have to let us know ahead of time, of course. smile
sound advice, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It often pays off, Tom, as you surely know. smile

Light illuminating the dark smile
Ginnie Hart: I love how that happens, Cherry...and not the other way around (the dark snuffing out the light).
That is so beautiful. I learned long ago that when you have your camera, look up and look down.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Michael. We're so lucky to keep learning this...simply because we hold a camera in our hands!
I like all the curvy lines and in b&w too.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Jacquelyn.

Always look up -- true saying, hard saying to always follow. But what an image to share with it smile Such a grand structure!
Ginnie Hart: Up and down, both, Emily. I try to do it often, especially in churches/cathedrals where they never disappoint. Thank you.
I love the details more pronounced in black and white!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Charles. I should probably try B&W more often!
Absolutely!!! Isn't that wonderful! And it looks terrific in B&W, Ginnie!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. And it's so good to see you BACK!
Fine b/w tones...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Larry.
