Now that's a really interesting mix!!
Ginnie Hart: It really took me by surprise, Robin! The workmen were decorating the city for St. Joseph's Feast, and we found interesting "props" lying everywhere. smile

  • Netherlands... just below sealevel.

Great scene and I know where that was.. it was fun to see the whole city working on that one celebrating day. Sometimes we need a rest. Love the play on word from Robin. In those bags are plaster-mix...
Love the processing.
Ginnie Hart: We saw so many interesting things that day, MLMA. We were so lucky to she them preparing for the St. Joseph Feast! Thank you.

Looks incongruous, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Totally, Lisl. I guess that's why it caught my eye!

What for a find - wonderful! I like your treatment to emphasize the crown!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Philione. It really stopped me dead in my tracks as we passed by! smile
If that was real, I'd be tempted.
Ginnie Hart: It was real, Michael...props for the decoration of St. Joseph's Feast. smile

This is bizarre Ginnie, these things do not seem to belong together
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Chris. Reminds me of that game "Which of these things does not belong?" HA!

Is the crown your's or Astrid's? I can't imagine our Queen leaving one of her many crowns on bags of building plaster or whatever it is smile
Ginnie Hart: Astrid and I decided early on in our marriage not to wear crowns, Alan. grin But yes, I can't imagine your Queen leaving one lying around like this.
What a wonderful find Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: We were so lucky that day, Bill, because they were prepping the city for the St. Joseph Feast.
Remarkable to come across this, perhaps the wearer had opted for a sun hat that day.
Ginnie Hart: Perhaps, Martin. smile
What a hilarious find. It is like you can imagine the plasterer wearing a crown as the work is done.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed so, Mary. smile

Resting it on top of a bag of cement is an interesting thing to do, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Ray!

so the king took a break and took off his crown, putting it in an unlikely place? lol what an odd picture and what a find!!
Ginnie Hart: They were prepping the city for St. Joseph's Feast, which meant we saw all kinds of fun "props" lying around. smile
oh what an unlikely place to find a crown and a sceptre of some sort (i guess?), Ginnie. nice find and makes for an appropriate mid week break shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. It still makes me smile just thinking about it! smile
What a strange mix of bits in that gap in the wall, surely there must be a story about the crown.
Ginnie Hart: It was a fun day, Brain, watching the workers get the city ready for the St. Joseph Feast. I think the crown was one of the props....!
An entertaining pile of junk Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Some things just make you go "WHAAAAAT?"
All right, I managed to spot the 4th horseman last week.

Now, will you tell me where are the other two wise kings? wink

>Malta had 150 years of British rule and influence!

Really? Only 150 years? Malaysia is so far away from Britain; they stayed there for almost 170 years! We only gained our Independence in 1957. But the longest rule belongs to the Dutch, some 180 years.
Ginnie Hart: Leave it to the British AND the Dutch to get around and leave their influence, LC. I'm starting to really pay attention!

Excellent and a likey.
Ginnie Hart: You are such a sweetheart, Louis. Thank you.
That's where I left my crown!
Ginnie Hart: I should have known it was yours, Michael! smile
