Being retired, every day is the weekend.

Very nice shot as usual.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Michael. Me, too, but because Astrid works, I'm still very aware of the work days and weekends! Thanks.
it is a very nice blue at that Ginnie... great Boat Friday....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. Malta doesn't get much better than this!

This is a very nice place to visit and the water is that blue in real life...just amazing.
Great shot, love the little staircase on the right. Beautiful POV.
Ginnie Hart: We have so many great memories in this one spot alone, let alone the rest of Malta! Europe's best-kept secret, for sure. Thank you, MLMA.

Malta and your camera combine to give great blues, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it with your own eyes, Lisl. Astrid and I would both highly recommend it!

Sunny & peaceful, that's how we want it
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Chris, especially over the weekend. (Nothing peeves Astrid more than seeing the sun out while she's at work and then NOT seeing it over the weekend!)

The name 'Blue (Grotto) ' is fitting , but in my imagination a groto is darker. Did you step up the sieep staircase?
Ginnie Hart: The caves are indeed darker, Philine, but this is at the mouth of them where it is open and free. And, yes, we climbed up the stairs and looked down on this wondrous place. You can scroll down here to see: http://ginniehart.blogspot.nl/2016/05/malta-blue-grotto-and-dingli-cliffs.html

It is aptly named, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Ray!
Well these boats are enjoying a lazy time Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeedy, Chad.
Not planning on doing too much! Kathryn is taking us for Breakfast tomorrow....my birthday present!
Ginnie Hart: YAY for birthday presents, Bill. ENJOY...and say HI to Kathryn from us both.
What's weekend? I'm lazy all the time smile Nice pic' Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I know what you mean, Frank, but because Astrid still works, I'm ALWAYS aware of the weekend!

Jolis reflets de l'eau sur ces beaux En ce moment, il y a beaucoup de bateaux ici pour "Brest 2016". petits bateaux.
Ginnie Hart: I think I like the small boats the best, Martine! smile
What a fine photo of a lovely place I'd just love to visit. Somebody said to me the other day that retirement is 6 Saturdays and a Sunday, just about right I think.
Ginnie Hart: You'd love Malta, Brian, if you ever have a chance to get there. But, yes, once Astrid is retired, I'll feel that all days are weekends.

Quite a place - I would be so enticed to get into that blue water and dive for crayfish.
Ginnie Hart: I'd love to picture that, Louis! smile
Too beautiful, how come you're not living there G! The sea, the sun, most importantly you don't need to learn Dutch there. wink
Ginnie Hart: Actually, LC, it would be way too hot there for me. Right now it's close to 32C/90F, which is more than I can stand. Also, because of skin cancer in my family, I have to be VERY careful of the sun. So, to be honest, the Netherlands is the absolutely best place for me to be!!! I feel so lucky.
peaceful blue waters...
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Larry.
You obviously enjoyed Malta as much as I did - and I'm envious that you had more time there!
Ginnie Hart: I've decided it's Europe's best-kept secret, Tom!

wow what amazing colours!!! that water is navy blue!! i wonder if that's where they got the word 'navy' from? or would it be the other way around, the navy came FIRST and dressed in blue smile

anyway, I'M BACK... posted today, as i didn't want to wait until monday smile
Ginnie Hart: You can never get better blues than in the Mediterranean area, Elaine. We feel so lucky to have been there in April, when it was not yet too hot.
What a wonderful little port Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's a delightful place, Richard, and nicely secluded.
i love the bright boats, Ginnie but i am amazed by the formations in the background. did you go up the steps?
Ginnie Hart: Off to the left, Ayush, out of sight, is the entrance into the caves. And, yes, both Astrid and I climbed up the steps and looked down on this delightful inlet/alcove from the sea.
Beautiful! I can tell that the water is quite clear and I'm tempted to jump!
Ginnie Hart: That was true everywhere we went in Malta, Charles. The water was always calling to us!
Sorry to just be catching up on the weekend! Hope you had a great one!
Ginnie Hart: You always surprise me, Robin, by how you catch up. Thank you. Now I'm trying to remember what we did over the weekend. HA!
