photoblog image Pentecost Monday

Pentecost Monday

Another day to sleep in if you have a holiday, as we do in Hollandshire.

Otherwise, come on, Sleepy Heads.  Time to get moving.

They look like storage sheds under the bridge, Ginnie...I wonder what is stored within?
Ginnie Hart: They're like the British lake-side huts, Ray, for anything related to the sea...I assume! Not sure they're for changing into swimsuits, though, but who knows???
Oh...wow...what a capture! Just gorgeous!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin. Your ears must have been tickling you because I went to bed last night wondering where you were! smile

Que contiennent donc ces garages ?
Ginnie Hart: They appear to be summer sheds for people's summer sea stuff, Martine. At least that's what we think they are.
I hope you enjoy the day Ginnie. Do you ever wonder why Pentecost is not a seven day holiday?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chad. A seven-day holiday??? Wouldn't that be something!!! grin

No public holiday here Ginnie but the sun is shining and I am raring to go!
Ginnie Hart: Of course YOU would be raring to go, Chris! Enjoy your day!

Great POV and love the twiddle. The last day, the day I went for a swim, some were open and I saw basic furniture in it and they sat outside.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, MLMA. I'm so glad you had the chance to see the inside!

They look like storage sheds for boats - interestinmg to read Astrid's comment. I wonder that this is a place to swim.
Ginnie Hart: It actually is a place to swim, Philine, believe it or not. The Maltese may not do much swimming but they love to sit outside in the sun, especially by the water.
superbe perspective!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.
We have a holiday here as well Ginnie. Superb image! I quite like your twiddle.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard, and have a happy holiday. Astrid is off work on Mondays anyway so it's an extra holiday for us (or not?).
Cool evening shot. I like the treatment. Hard to believe it is a holiday. It is a windy, showery day here.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mary. We had a warm spell last week (up to the mid-70s) but now it's back down to the low-50s. Strange how it is!
We don't get a holiday but then life is one big holiday when you retire....well it would be if I hd the time

Nice atmospheric picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Having a working lady in the house means I always have one foot in both worlds, Bill. HA! Except that she always has Monday off...so that wasn't anything new for us.
An interesting, if somewhat untidy, promenade. Every day is a holiday for us retired folks smile
Ginnie Hart: The promenade is actually up above, Brian, so you can look down and see the more "primitive" area below. I suppose there are times when the water makes a mess of things?
Very impressionistic!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tom.

Some of the darkness in the sky has fallen onto the path. Heh, heh! Great picture of storage facilities - mainly because of the half circle of doors and lights, in a vanishing line.
Ginnie Hart: You know me well, Louis, and those vanishing points! smile Thanks.
This place reminded me of Ramsgate! Google image "ramsgate harbour arches", you will know why.
Ginnie Hart: So I Googled it, LC, and you're right, of course. I love it when things remind us of other things/places where we've been. smile
i love the image of the curved row of storage units and the bridge above it Ginnie... as usual and one of your fine compositions....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
That is fabulous dark image.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. Photo manipulation helped me out. smile

Interesting light on this picture!
Ginnie Hart: It wasn't quite this dark when I took the picture, Anne, but photo manipulation helped me get it to what I wanted. smile
wonderful shot, Ginnie. i like the super sky here. and a very nice view indeed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Ayush. You would love Malta, if ever you have the chance to visit there.

Fabulous image smile

I would have liked a bit more of a sleep in this morning ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Cherry...and I know what you mean. I'm most delighted when I can get 8-9 hours every night. msmile
