What a great shot, Ginnie! It's a lovely.... thing.... that is - and your selective color is just beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. You know me...sometimes I can't resist! smile

my mom used to have a set of dishes like that, the blue and white, windmills and such
Ginnie Hart: The true blue dishware is Delft with official stamps or initials on the back. I have a habit of turning such dishes over nowadays, to check them out. smile

A very impressive beer-pump. Love the selective colouring and a wonderful light in this picture. Indeed 'more Dutch' you cannot get. I assume this is a very old one.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, MLMA. It would have been fun to ask about it. Maybe next time.

Your quest for windmills takes you to some strange places, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Let's just say it's hard to miss them, Lisl. grin
I just want a beer pum like this one Ginnie...Superb Image!
Ginnie Hart: And if you could keep it well-stocked, Richard, you'd be the talk of the town! smile
Yum yum a beer dispenser Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Chad. I should have asked what beer it was serving!
I love the beer pump but I hope it doesn't dispense Grolsch or Heneken!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Bill. Astrid would echo your sentiment. Next time I'll ask what brand it is.
Please tell Astrid that I love the bleakness of her picture today.
Ginnie Hart: I will be glad to do so, Chad, and she'll be delighted by your comment.
Love your delft beer tap. I have a one of a kind piece of delft as it has my name written in it - a very special gift.
Ginnie Hart: Nothing quite like Delft craftsmanship, Mary. I always turn a piece over to see if it's genuine! smile

It looks as though they were expecting you and Astrid judging by the number of galsses on the counter smile I love the pump.
Ginnie Hart: It was a lovely place, Alan, at the watermill. You would have loved it.
splendide cette pompe a bière!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Exactly how the Dutch like it, JP. smile
A nice bit of colour popping!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, sir!

Looks to me I should start Elephant Friday smile A likey. This reminds me in a way of pics that Mal used to post.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Start anything you want, Louis, and we'll all follow you! grin (And now you have me blushing with the Mal comment. I wonder how he's doing and if he's still in cahoots with Petra?)
love the selective colour treatment Ginnie... are those Heineken windmills....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. Sometimes an image just cries out to be "selective." smile
Oh we all see the windmill!
But what about the other one?
A pyramid on a rock?
That's so un-Dutch! wink
Ginnie Hart: Who knows what THAT is, LC. LOL
It took me a while to find the windmill...
Ginnie Hart: HA! That makes me smile, Larry. smile
That is superb.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.

Ginnie Hart: The Dutch say "Proost!" smile
beautifully presented, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. Do you arrive in the Netherlands this week???
You just can't resist taking pix of windmills can you? ... lol ... Good, cause I enjoy them all. This is especially.
Ginnie Hart: No, Jacquelyn...I can't resist! smile (sigh)
... This one especially > I meant Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: As I often say to Astrid, I know your English, Jacquelyn. smile
I love the way you have picked out the colour smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Cherry. You know me....!

It's a beautiful piece and lovely light and your artistic processing makes the image stand out, Ginnie.
Did you ask whether you could take a photo or just grabbed your camera? I'd love to know. smile
Ginnie Hart: I ask about taking photos when an employee is present, Petra, in a shop/restaurant. In this case, we had already talked with her quite pleasantly but she was not around when I took this image.
I love your quest for windmills and the unexpected!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin. You can imagine the charm of windmills for me here in this quaint country. I'll never grow tired of them...nor will Astrid, who grew up with them her entire life!
