It is a lovely shot, Ginnie.

The fence reminds me that the English tend to take better care of their 900 years old relics than we do in Thailand.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray. It was a lovely time of the day when we were there. I'll never forget it.

We had the perfect Golden Hour that day. what a wonderful picture. I remember walking all around it and being impressed. Can you imagine being there in 1131...
Ginnie Hart: I'll never forget it, MLMA. And NO, I can't imagine what it must have been like back in its day! Maybe only a little bit?

Ginnie Hart: That's one of the main reasons why I may never move away from Europe, Elaine. BINGO! Thank you. [Your URL link isn't correct, so I'll try to "find" you after I finish my blogroll....]
That is heavenly. A wonderful golden shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. I'll never forget it.

Oh yes, a grandious, abandoned abbey - the Golden Hour indeed Turner was so mesmerised with, too - I myself remember the gorgeous greyness of the stones and some patches of greenness, the skeletons of the windows ..., like you both I was very spellbound with these ruins.
Ginnie Hart: It's hard to imagine how it must have looked back in its heyday, Philine. It still blows me away....

Staggering isn't it Ginnie. In the right light, as you have captured it here, it is breathtaking
Ginnie Hart: I'll never forget it, Chris, and the drive you took to get us there that day! I never liked the way I processed it back in 2012 but finally decided this did it some justice. Thank you.

I didn't know you had been there, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Chris spent a long time that day driving us around, Lisl. He knew we wanted to step foot inside Wales...so we had quite the day: http://www.ginniehart.blogspot.nl/2012/06/england-2012-ledbury-and-wales.html

Great show in the golden hour. I wonder what the 'Tintern' stands for? I have visited a Tintern Abbey in Co Wexford in Ireland.
Ginnie Hart: Chris made sure we got there in time, after a long day of driving, Louis. But I have no idea what 'Tintern' stands for?
