Those are huge gate posts for the very insignificant gate.
Ginnie Hart: That's a good way to say it, Michael. The foundation is always most important, I guess? smile

First I thought we are on Richard Standley's blog - a nice, shadowy stroll - enjoy a Happy Independence Day weekend!
Ginnie Hart: No, you're here on my blog, Philine. HA! Thank you.

Very slightly damp & Cornish Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: You may actually see the very same gateway next week, Chris?!

It is a good-looking portal, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Ray. Very inviting. Thank you.

Good to see this with your eyes, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I think we'd both quite enjoy the witness of each other to the same time and place, Lisl!
Every year I give thanks that we got rid of those pesky Yanks that were drinking all our tea grin
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! And to think they're now pretending they know nothing about why they left your beloved country in the first place.
What a lovely place to have a stroll Ginnie! Enjoy your Independance day weekend.
Ginnie Hart: We didn't go in, Richard, but I bet it is a lovely walk. I'm sure my American friends are excited about a holiday weekend, with all the fireworks. It's a huge date on their calendar (but not on the Dutch calendar, of course). Thanks.

JP
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.
Oh yes. Looking like home Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I bet, Janet!!!
That gate needs repairing Ginnie, send for Tiff.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! He may be there next week? smile
Happy birthday, USA! smile
How come it's not a photo of showing apple pie, baseball, Chevy, Coca Cola? wink
Hey, did I pass my Citizen test? Please grant me your Green Card! wink
Ginnie Hart: Not very American at all, I grant you that, LC. But surely you see the "joke" behind this being an image from England, from whom the Americans gained their independence. grin
Nice composition and some beautiful ferns to look at.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary.

You made it look fantastic, Ginnie.

Happy Independence day to you.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Pauline. The day will come and go without celebration here in Dutchland because it's strictly an American holiday. But at least I haven't forgotten. The fun thing for me is that I'm celebrating the occasion with an image from England, from whom America gained their independence. HA!
What a lovely path to stroll along, I read somewhere that your knee behaved itself all week. Have a good Independence Day celebration, it is our S-I-L's birthday tomorrow, he and Caroline are in Kefalonia with friends to celebrate, lucky people!
Ginnie Hart: I did have great success with my knee all week in England, Brian, yes. Thank you for noticing. I feel most lucky. We didn't walk this path but I do find it very inviting!

Excellent pictures and wishes. I wish I had a path like this one to follow ... (I would probably be forced to repair the gate).
Ginnie Hart: Take the walk first and then if you have time, repair the gate, Louis. That's my wish for you. Thanks.

It does look very inviting. Happy Independence Day weekend to you
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Anne. Of course, we don't celebrate it here in Dutchland, but I'm thinking of my family and friends back in America.
joli traitement!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, JP.

Now this isa sight that your American friends would have a job t find in most of the US. I hope you shut the gate behind you wink

Enjoy 4th July!
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Alan. By now this looks so English to me because of those cement posts at the gate. But there are many woods like this in Michigan, for instance, for me to know the feel of it. It's so inviting. Thanks.
Thank you and you enjoy your weekend too! I could so follow that path!
Ginnie Hart: I'll have to catch you up on our weekend, Robin, and what's going on these days before Nicholas arrives on the 17th.... But in the meantime, thanks!

Stepping through the gate seems like stepping back in time smile
Ginnie Hart: It has a feeling of going into Neverland, Cherry. A place to escape to whenever needed!
I really like the muted tones for this... it gives it a very soft feel! Happy Independence Day Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Elizabeth. It's good to see you again! smile
this is a beautiful path to follow Ginnie...
gee your good!!!
....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. I'd follow it, given the opportunity!
J'aime ces couleurs un peu passées qui donnent à  ce chemin un petit air rétro
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. The original green was too dynamic, so I had to tone it down. smile
that's a beautiful road, lovely light, thru the trees!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elaine.
