Love the treatment on this. It really brings out the white of the railing.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Hollie. And it was just getting ready to rain.
This processing is so beautiful, Ginnie!!! I love this. And this quote is brilliant- how often do we try to do that?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Elizabeth. And yes, I think we're all guilty of "jumping the gun!" (sigh)

Darn it! I am picturing Dame Judi floating across the bridge.
Ginnie Hart: That dame can float just about anywhere, Ray, can't she! She walks on water in my book. smile

This is a wonderful POV and love the quote. I think Dame Judi Dench would love this place to visit..... Great picture, great processing.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, MLMA. Surely Dame Judi knows what she's talking about. I bet she'd love this place, indeed. It would not be beneath her.
Such a wonderful perspective shot Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
another wonderful point of view Ginnie... and your treatment is great....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. I'm very fond of this particular bridge...one of the landmarks at Kinderdijk.

pretty picture! love how it leads the eye smile now how did Judi Dench get credit for an age old saying? lol
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elaine. There are always myriad variations on a theme, aren't there!

I have to think about this saying - there is still winter - now greenery might be all over - a fine sepai photo!
Ginnie Hart: I have also heard the saying "You don't need a ticket before the train arrives." But yes, I'm sure this place is now alive with greenery. Bedankt, Philine.
A nice perspective on this bridge Ginnie. I note your trademark colouration treatment. Very good.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chad. I guess I do have my druthers when it comes to processing, don't I. smile

A salutary lesson and a fine image too Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. I'm so glad to see you're feeling better!
It isn't possible either. Nice start to the week Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: So true, Bill. Thanks. smile

J'aime ton cadrage
JP
Ginnie Hart: Merci, JP.
19 windmills? Wow!
Did you know there are five windmills and two watermills in London?
I went to see one of the watermills this weekend, it was National Mills Weekend here. Google image "House Mill Bromley by Bow", that's the one I saw smile
Ginnie Hart: How strange, LC, because it was National Mills day here in Dutchland yesterday, meaning all mills were open and could be visited (on Mother's Day). We LOVE visiting the mills around this country (and have seen many, so did not go out to see any yesterday). I would love to see the windmills and water mills of London. Maybe one day.

Lovely monchrome. You use the railing to maximum effect, leading us over the bridge before we come to it - my eyes are not following DJD's advice!
Ginnie Hart: HA! You just made my day, Mike. Thanks.
Hello, very good composition for this wonderful picture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Roland.
I like your sepia treatment here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary.

Great shot, Ginnie, it's kind of ghostly.
I'll try to remember that quote next time I'm impatient.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Pauline. When you come down to it, it's very hard NOT to be impatient!
I like this very much, it so suits Dame Judi's quote, something we're all guilty of at one time or another I bet.
Ginnie Hart: We're all guilty, indeed, Brian, but who can fault us when the bridge is so appealing?! smile

"It is impossible to cross the bridge before you get to it." Sir Louis Kotzee

I like the composition and conversion.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! You're a match for the Dame any day, Louis! smile Thanks.
Love the leading lines and the processing! I hope you both had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin. And yes, we had a lovely Mother's Day weekend. I wonder if you were with your mom...or she with you???
Beautiful composition!
Have a nice evening!
