We have about a dozen boats like this Ginnie... and Penny has about as many lighthouses... great Boat Friday....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: What I like is that passers-by can see all the boats, Peter, but I assume this means they always have strangers peering into their home!

they should live in a real boat, that will cure them of their fascination haha, great pic tho, love them in the window boxes!
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you would know, Elaine, after living in a boat. I suppose that would cure a lot of "ills." smile
A Boat photo with a capital B.
Ginnie Hart: Enough boats to sink a ship, Michael. grin

Boats Friday me thinks
Ginnie Hart: You're right, Brian!
What a find Ginnie! Wonderful diptych.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. I've never seen anything like it.

I think they are charming but I'm glad I don't have to dust & clean them..
Ginnie Hart: Astrid reminded me that there is a glass pane on the other side of these boats in the window, forming a protective box, Chris. So I'm guessing there's minimal upkeep if any at all. How nice.

More boat Friday you cannot get smile....
It was so fun to talk to the lady, who are both members of the sea-rescue-boat-team in Egmond.
Great picture, love the presentation.
Ginnie Hart: It's always more fun when you can actually meet these people and get a story behind what you see. A nice memory for us that day. Bedankt, MLMA.

I will show this one to Michael - he loves boats like this
Ginnie Hart: I had never seen anything like this, Lisl, especially in someone's private home. Needless to say, it really caught my eye!

Voilà  assurément la maison de quelqu'un qui aime les bateaux !
Ginnie Hart: You could say that again, Marie. smile
We seem to collect another tea towel grin
Ginnie Hart: When I think of all the collections I've been part of in the past, Bill, I just had to smile. Tea towels aren't bad! smile

Hhaha.. wonderful! They need to move to house with more windows! I wouldn't fancy moving them all to clean the windows.
Ginnie Hart: Based on the glass window box her husband has made for the windows, Alan, protecting the boats on the inside, I think all they'd have to do is clean the two surfaces and that's all, never needing to touch a thing on the inside where the boats are. Clever, if you ask me. smile

Jolie prise
JP
Ginnie Hart: When you have a nice collection, JP, you might as well show it off.
So when are you going to show us your weather vane collection, G?
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's a good one, LC. grin
What a great window display. I love them
Ginnie Hart: You might as well show them off if you have that many, Mary, right?!

Oh dear, soon they won't get any light at all Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: So it seems, Chad. Heavens!
A great collection! Wouldn't like to have to dust them!
Ginnie Hart: Apparently the hubbie has encased both windows in glass from the inside, Tom, to seal off dust and moisture. Smart guy!

They are very crisp shots, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray. I think we both (Astrid and I) were short of eyes when we saw them. smile
A great collection on show there Ginnie. Just the job for Boat Friday
Ginnie Hart: It did seem appropriate, Janet. Thanks. smile
I'm sure someone else has said this too...but what a fabulous diptych!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Robin. The minute I saw the two windows I immediately saw the diptych. smile
I'm sure there can't be all that many people who don't collect anything at all, with Maureen it sued to be thimbles, fortunately she's stopped now.
Ginnie Hart: I've been part of many collections in my day, Brian, before moving to the Netherlands. Nowadays what I collect is in online files of images. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne, and I think you may be right! smile
Soon they will need a new window...
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right, Larry! smile

That is a fine array of boats. The reflections in the window make it seem as if they 'are' afloat smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Cherry. You make a good point about the reflections!
I really like the reflection in the glass.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Hollie!
You definitely found great windows for Boat(s) Friday. ; )
Ginnie Hart: They took me by surprise, Jacquelyn, so, of course, I had to "collect" them. smile Thanks.
Very very lovely shoot….
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Francesco.
What a wonderful collection it is, too! I love your find, here, and your presentation!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. It quite took us both by surprise, to be honest. smile

A boat in a Bottle!
A Boats in a Window!
Have a nice week.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like that, Oscar. Thanks.
That's a super cool collection! You capture them very well, maybe they would like to have the image and hang it on their wall smile
Ginnie Hart: The housewife was very proud of these ships, Indah, and would probably love knowing that many of us here have seen them. smile Thank you.
