perfect in b&w Ginnie... the boat could use a bit of sprucing up though....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: When I saw it, Peter, I felt I was on the other side of the tracks (as we say in America).

Love the B&W and I think this boat needs a little bit more than Spring cleaning... Maybe some Dutch Cleaning too wink
Ginnie Hart: Dutch cleaning, definitely, MLMA, and I know exactly who could do it! grin Maybe they would give you a week's use of the boat for all your hard work???
Wonderful timeless image of this old boat Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard. It was just sitting there begging to have it's picture taken. smile

I think how good it is that you don't have to carry that huge camera around any more, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Man alive, Lisl...did you ever nail it! I haven't cried one tear over it and I'm so much the better with this little light camera that does everything I want...and more! Thanks for knowing.

A little shabby but hopefully still functional
Ginnie Hart: I'd like to think that if your Little Sis cleaned it up she'd get a good week's use of it for free. Wouldn't that be fun! smile

and time for painting again?
Ginnie Hart: I think so, Philine!
A grubby looking object Ginnie....well suited to b&w grin
Ginnie Hart: It really did look grubby, Bill. Good word.
Magnificent work!
Have a nice day!

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Natallia.
Are you ready for the eclipse?
The clouds are too thick in London right now.. sad No chance for us, I think.
Ginnie Hart: Well, the eclipse has already happened here, LC, but nothing to be seen where we are, since we're in fog. Oh well. I'm sure someone will have seen it and we'll see the images to come.
B/W is suitable here. Boat owning is like house owning. The cleaning and repairing never ends.
Ginnie Hart: You're right, Mary. A never-ending story, as Astrid would say. A few Dutch Cleaners would come in handy here. smile
I hate cleaning Ginnie, really hate it. Please see my commemt to Astrid about the eclipse.
Ginnie Hart: Cleaning isn't my favorite thing to do either, Chad, which is why Astrid does most of it...and I do the rest. smile It sounds like you had the chance to see the solar eclipse. WOW. It's way too foggy here so we didn't see a thing.

It is the first day of spring
let the hard work begin.

Like the strong contrasts in this picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. More like a Dutch cleaning is needed here, I think. smile

The monochrome treatment suits it Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne. I thought so, too...even though I made it quite ominous, I'm afraid.
I think it needs a bit more than a spring clean Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: How about a Dutch cleaning, Brian?? smile

You and Astrid seem to have had an inspired Boat Friday, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Ray. We had a great time out-n-about.
These little old boats do have a certain charm don't they. I like your b&w image of it Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Janet.
I love that little boat! So cute! Sign me up to spring clean! smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! If you help clean, you get to go for a ride with the rest of us! grin

Yes, it cold do with a little TLC and a bit of a clean. Looks the sort of boat that may have a small galley so it ticks that box for me wink
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling we all could have fun with this boat, Alan! smile
That looks superb in black adn white.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
A great find, there Ginnie!! It does look a little neglected!
Ginnie Hart: It reminded me of the houses "on the other side of the tracks" when growing up, Elizabeth.

It is looking a little tired and in need of some TLC!
Ginnie Hart: I know of a few people who'd love to clean it up for a few days of free R&R on it, Cherry. smile

In need of some repairs, I think?
Ginnie Hart: A few, Brian...or at least some good ol' elbow grease!
noir et blanc extra!! amitiés
Ginnie Hart: B&W seemed to be calling for this one, JP. smile Merci.
Nice monochrome photography - the boat looks comfy though despite its crusty condition. It is perfect for canal cruising smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Indah, for stopping by and commenting here.

And just as I was saying - spring! I would also love to this this shot in colour smile But lovely use of B&W smile
Ginnie Hart: I went back-n-forth on color vs. B&W, Emily, so I know what you mean. My image on this Friday is of the same boat in (mostly) color but from another angle.
