That is an interesting array of barkers, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: The man with the German shepherd is actually someone we know and his dog, Laika, is my friend! But I couldn't see who they were till they got closer. HA!
This is the only way for a dog to go for a walk Ginnie... as long as the owners take care of what they leave behind....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Peter. We have the perfect place for walking dogs!
Very nice, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael.
Quite a walking group they have! A lovely, calming shot, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's always more fun when you can share it with someone special, Elizabeth, right?! smile

Casual stroll, very nice.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. I love how you see scads of people every weekend taking a stroll here...often accompanied by their 4-legged friends.

smile Our dear friend Ernie and company. We met them the first day you walked the stairs to get on to the citadel. A beautiful day to walk and enjoy.
Wonderful picture and yes sometimes you just need to go outside and enjoy.
Ginnie Hart: What was so funny about this pic, MLMA, is that I took it with the zoom long before I knew who it was. You can imagine my delight when I recognized Ernie and his gorgeous dog, Laika. smile

Man's best friends come in all shapes & sizes!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, they do, Chris! It so happens that we know the man on the right with his gorgeous German shepherd, Laika. We often see them around town and always stop to chat. In this case, however, I took the pic before I realized who it was! smile
Too bad there isn't any snow for them to roll around in. The dogs too.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Michael. The thing is, I just wish we got enough snow here to make that possible! Not this winter, I'm afraid.

oh wow everything looks so pretty!! all the greenery in the image, goes with the green text on your page and the white background is sooo cheery.... you just put me in a good mood, and how many dogs do they have? lol
Ginnie Hart: This puts me in a good mood, too, Elaine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE our citadel walk, which I'm eager to do again. It's right here at our backdoor!

Our friend, Ernie, on the right, has just one dog, Laika...that gorgeous German shepherd. She knows I adore her! smile

Quite a handfull there, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: When you come in May, Lisl, we'll take this walk and you'll see almost every breed of dog possible. HA!
They all seem being enjoying their stroll Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Count me in, too, Richard. smile Thanks.
Interesting looking roofs in the distance Ginnie. I cannot actually recall seeing them before.
Ginnie Hart: You'd probably see something new every time you walked the citadel, Chad, so we'll just have to do it again! smile
Ha ha! That bollard at the end looks like a tunnel opening where those dogs rushed out. wink
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well seen, LC. It's actually a post that designates the area below as a dog's romping place. smile
It is certainly springlike at your place. I bet the dogs feel it too.
Ginnie Hart: Well, we've never had a real winter, Mary, with temps hovering between 30-40F most of the time. (sigh) The Dutch would LOVE to get some ice skating in again before they drop dead.

Just what I am about to do Ginnie. As for your group, I can imagine the struggle to cope with four leads and different sizes of dog. A tangle in seconds!
Ginnie Hart: Good for you, Mike. I should do the same, since the sun is out! I have seen one man walk 6 dachshund puppies, all on leads and all completely tangled up. It would have made a good video! smile

Best way to get rid of a 'kater' is to walk the dogs, indeed. smile
Ginnie Hart: I'm still trying to figure out what a 'kater' is, Louis, but if you say so, I trust you! smile

I'd like to borrow a dog when I go out walking; hand it back when it's muddy and dirty wink I like the light here.
Ginnie Hart: I bet you could find such a dog somewhere, Alan, and a delighted owner! Well, maybe not the muddy-dirty part but definitely the walking part!
I like some types of dog but not others, I guess most people are like that, but we've never contemplated having one, walking them in the spring and summer is o.k., but the winter, no thanks!
Ginnie Hart: I like the animals other people have, Bill, but am perfectly fine having none of my own. Does that make sense?????

Great picture of people enjoying their walks
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne. The citadel walk here is a perfect example of people enjoying their walks AND their dogs.
An original colouration Ginnie, I rather like it
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes twiddling surprises the heck out of all of us, Bill! smile
So true! Love the trees in the background!
Ginnie Hart: I love being able to walk again, Robin. Astrid is back to chasing me when we're on photo hunts. grin

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Olivier.
A kind of 'all sorts' of dogs smile
Ginnie Hart: They come in all shapes and sizes, Tom, for sure!

The family dogs is numerous but it follows masters wisely. I like this image of life
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling the dogs live for this moment, Marie! Merci.
