Just like your very calm, cool and collected image here, Ginnie! A lovely boat Friday post!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Staying put in the harbor must have the order of the day! smile

Impressive little marina here, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray. The Muiderslot castle is just behind me in this image, so it has quite the view.

If this is as secluded as it looks, it must be a boatman's paradise, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: As I just told Ray, the Muiderslot castle is just behind me in this image, Lisl. Astrid and I think the masted boat on the right has probably been used in film sets with the castle. smile

I love this scene, I think they used this boat as set of a movie.
Huizen has a harbour to the IJssellake, a wonderful place for sailing.
Happy memories here smile
Ginnie Hart: I especially like that this is part of your childhood memories, MLMA. It was good to see your old stomping grounds. Thank you.

are those bullrushes jutting out there? or do they not have them there? lovely peaceful place, i dare say
Ginnie Hart: Definitely reeds of some sort, Elaine, though I was never close enough to see them perfectly. This is on the property of the Muiderslot castle, which is directly behind me in the image. Very fun...and, yes, peaceful.

This is our beloved Holland! A wonderful, calm photograph! I love the red flowers or berries on the right below.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Philine. Our beloved Holland! I loved the berries, too. smile

My eye was immediately drawn to the old(?) ship on the right with its leaning masts; it gives the impression that it is settling into the mud with a low tide? I like the boat with the yello hull, too; looks quite traditional.
Ginnie Hart: I think that sunken boat is a fixed prop there, Alan, by the looks of it. It totally made my day. smile Thanks.
lovely serene spot here, Ginnie. i might be wrong but the masts on the right seem to be really close to each other
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Alan. I think those boats on the right have become melded together over time! smile
Nice peaceful scene Ginnie. Helen is meeting all her best friends her on Saturday prior to them going off for afternoon tea. Joseph is going to stay with us while they do and Andy will be at home decorating! Helen's friends are lovely but very enthusiastic.....need I say more?
Ginnie Hart: HA! I think your time with Joseph will be just what the doctor ordered, Bill. I fully expect a whole set of images to follow!

Sheltering from the weather in this haven. Rare to see small ships with rigging!
Ginnie Hart: Sheltered from the storms of life, Mike. Astrid thinks those ships are props for movies, since this is the site of the Muiderslot castle.
Is that a pirate moored to the right ?
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here, Martin. smile
This little marina is so beautiful and cosy Ginnie.
Enjoy the weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard. It felt very cozy to me, too. smile
That is quite a ship. It must signify the 'cool' part.
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like that, Mary. smile
Wow, is that England in the background?! wink
I can see you!
Ginnie Hart: Well, you've got a good imagination, LC, and that's all I'll say about that. smile

A nice view! Despite overcast skies, it is an invitation to sail! Have a good weekend
Ginnie Hart: If you are bound determined to leave the safety of the harbor, Pat, just go for it! smile
Let's hope so Ginnie. A lovely quiet Boat Friday spot to while away some time
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Janet. Exactly. Thanks.
This is rather a nice spot Ginnie, that looks like a pirate ship moored up on the right hand side.
Ginnie Hart: It reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean, Brian. smile

A bit of calm and cool is always nice - a lovely peaceful picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne. I think so, too. smile
"Cool" is no problem where I live--it's downright frigid. "Calm"--so far today I am. "Collected"--working on it...smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's what I like about you, Larry!!!
That is a tranquil scene smile
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Cherry. Thanks.
That is a lovely shot. Your Boat Friday shots are always a treat.
Ginnie Hart: How very kind and generous of you, Michael. Thank you.
