The pigeons are unconcerned, Ginnie...and, I am warm and dry.
Ginnie Hart: Well, then. All is well, Ray! smile
We're definitely warm and dry here... thank you!
I love the selective coloring on the umbrella - and the expressions you've captured!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. This has always been one of my favorite Venice pics from way back then. I'm not sure why I waited till now to show it. HA!
I love it Ginnie... great selective colouring...

i wouldn't stand in that queue... i would head for the closest warm bar....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. Can you imagine the size of the queue if it weren't raining?! smile

Perfect picture for selective colouring. Rain in Venice, lucky for them they have enough canals to get rid of the water. Great shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, MLMA. I don't know why this sat in the archives for this long because it's one of my favorite pics of that past-life Venice trip. smile
That is absolutely excellent.
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Michael. Thank you.
Perfection!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dearest Robin!

i'm inside, warm and dry, listening to an audio book, relaxing, putting off work, feeling blissfully happy, how about you two? i love love the picture and it makes me feel all the more warm at my hearth and in my heart smile
Ginnie Hart: Being happy is one of the fastest ways for staying warm and dry, Elaine, don't you think?! Don't you love how pics of rain can still make you feel cozy on the inside. smile Thank you.

J'aime la belle architecture de la basilique San Marco... Le parapluie de couleur met de la lumière dans ce très beau noir et blanc.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for giving me the name of this incredible structure, Marie. I was hoping someone would. And thank you for your very kind words.

That's a Ginnie umbrella, if I ever saw one (I mean in a photo!)
Ginnie Hart: HA! I knew what you meant, Big Sis. You know me...... smile

That man is looking saying, "where did that splash of colour come from?"
I hope you are still improving and not getting despondent Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I think the man was checking the clouds, Chad, to see if the rain would stop before he got to the front of the line. smile

As for me, I am improving every day, not always by leaps and bounds but definitely step by step. Yesterday at PT I was given instructions to stop using my crutches! WOW. One of my exercises is to walk backwards, which helps stabilize the leg muscles. Also, when Eline found out we used to dance every night after supper, she gave that to us as another exercise. It's amazing how much dancing stabilizes the knee. So, yes, I'm improvong and see progress every day. I can do 3 complete cycles backwards on the bike, but am screaming almost the entire time. HA! My goal is to stop screaming. grin

Oh, yes, this is Venice, the centre of tourism, surely in front St. Marco with all the pigeons - good that the square was not flooded -I like your selective colouring.
In the beginning of March I'll go to Venice, hoping for better weather.
How are you, dear Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Venice is one of those idyllic places for tourists, Philine, for sure. One day Astrid and I want to go back...together (we've each been separately in our past lives). Thank you.

Oh, I have just read your reply on Chad's comment - very good news - and my best wishes that you wil l go on step by step in this positive way.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you for reading my response to Chad, Philine. I much say that I am very encouraged by my progress thus far. It gets better and better with every day. The dancing really helps! smile
The multicolour one tried to hide, but you noticed it Ginnie...Well done!
Ginnie Hart: I try not to let anything get past me, Richard. grin Thank you.
From the rain i thought we must be in Bathgrin
Ginnie Hart: Of course, I'm sure Droitwich never came to mind, Bill?! smile
I like this shot as there is a story hidden in it. The selective colouring works a treat here.
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Mary. This brings back many memories from a long time ago.

I think the people and the building are more interesting than the umbrella.
Ginnie Hart: Of course, Richard! smile
Asian tourists like to do things together. smile

We also like to draw en plein air in large group.
Ginnie Hart: I knew you'd totally relate to this, LC. smile

Outside the Basilica di San Marco by the look of it. Nice strong B&W with a splash of colour!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Mike. I found out from Focales/Marie where this was. I had totally forgotten. Thanks.
That's excellent use of selective colour, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

All waiting patiently - great selective colouring
Ginnie Hart: Patience is a virtue, they say. HA! Thanks, Anne.
Fantastic treatment here Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ronky.
You've got the lot here Ginnie, great architecture, reflections in the wet pavement, a real mix of people and that great colour popped umbrella, you couldn't ask for much more.
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Brian. Thank you.
We haven't seen any rain for quite a while Ginnie. Great capture of a rainy day in Venice and the umbrella was a perfect subject for selective colouring
Ginnie Hart: You'll probably get your rain soon enough, Janet, based on what happened last year, right! Thanks.
Oh, I thought this was in Droitwich on a Friday... smile
Ginnie Hart: HAHA! Good one, Larry. smile
