Half eaten by mice, and they are already making holes in the rest.

Crisp and lovely shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Well said, Ray. And thank you kindly.
Hey! I can see an alien base!
Lovely clarity smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! No wonder we all love the moon, Will. smile Thanks.
Waxing or waning?
Ginnie Hart: Definitely waxing, Michael. It'll be full before we know it (February 3). smile
Amazing Ginnie!!! Such beautiful detail!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. When I saw how clear the night was, I told Astrid I need to capture a half moon...and next a quarter moon (still to be achieved!). smile

The moon is so fascinating. All those wonderful details. Great picture.
Ginnie Hart: Fascinating, indeed, MLMA. We never tire of it, no matter how old we are. And to think it represents emotion, a "water" planet!
So beautiful and crisp Ginnie! Thank you for sharing as we can't see it at the moment.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. Ours was a bit hazy last night but at least we could see it.

Wow, your camera does you proud, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I couldn't be happier with my camera, Lisl, as you know. I was never able to get such a capture before.

Lovely image Ginnie: it has a profound effect on our lives
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chris. It's our water planet, full of emotion. Where would we be without it!

You still are dong moon shots after all these years. That little camera is up to the job, for sure.
Ginnie Hart: I had only tried full-moon shots previously, Louis, so when I saw this incredibly crisp half-moon, I just had to go for it. Next try will be for a quarter-moon or a sliver. smile You're right about this little magic camera. I could never do this with my 300mm lens, especially not hand-held.

A photo of a half moon is better than a photo of a full moon to my mind; I like what is left to the imagination and see the chnage for full light to no light.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Alan, I'm now on a mission to get a good pic of a quarter moon or even a sliver. HA! Thanks.

Excellent capture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Marie.
Great shot- far better than I have ever achieved.
Ginnie Hart: Most kind of you, Mike. It's this little magic camera...I could never do it on my 300mm lens, especially not hand-held.

Great capture Ginnie can't remember the last time we have seen it over here too much cloud and rain.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. It was very hazy here last night, though we could see it. I'm glad I was able to get a clear shot from a couple months ago.
What is gonna happen when it's full, G?
An American werewolf in Gorinchem! wink
Ginnie Hart: We've got a few more days to find out, LC. In the meantime, I'll get my stitches/staples out (tomorrow) and will be ready for a fight. smile
See, I told you you would be mooning us in no time at all.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHAHA! Good one, Mary. grin

Great shot Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard.
This is very good Ginnie, not a subject I've even attempted.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. I've attempted it many times with my DSLR lenses but to no avail. It eneded up working with this magic camera. smile
you squeezed off an incredible image from the Powershot, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. I call this PowerShot a magic camera with its 1200mm lens.
Always an interesting subject and you have captured that so well, its amazing the amount of detail on the 'half' moon.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Suzanne. My next moon goal is to get a good sliver or quarter moon. smile

Phew what a relief, when I saw the title 'half moon' before your picture came up, I did not know what to expect.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Chad. I'm bad but not THAT bad! grin
Totally right Ginnie..
such a calming image
Ginnie Hart: We get so much from the moon, Ronky, don't we. No wonder it's called Mother Moon and the planet of Emotion.

I am jealous, I can never get a good shot of the moon.
Ginnie Hart: I could never get a good shot either, Brian, till I got this magic camera with its 1200mm lens. For me it's been worth its weight in gold.
perfect and awesome smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Joshi.

Ginnie Hart: Half a man in the moon is better than no man at all. HA!
That's some great detail on your half moon Ginnie. Great shot
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Janet. Nothing quite like a clear moon!
