It's Still Autumn, Folks

In case there are non-believers amongst you?

This was taken in Bruges, BE, this past Saturday, November 29.

Astrid and I drive home from Belgium today after a great long-weekend away.

gobsmacked
Ginnie Hart: Well, thank you, Ray. It doesn't get much better than that for autumn!
What a wonderful painting Ginnie! I bet you enjoyed your weekend in Belgium.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard, and, YES!
fantastic colours. what a nice point of view
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ayush. It reminds me that it really IS still autumn, even though some places are already getting snow.

Hard to believe it is 1st December today in that spot, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I know, Lisl, especially when you see what's happening in parts of America right now, with all their snow!

Haha, you are lucky - we had a cold snap a couple of days ago and most leaves have fallen. Lovely picture nonetheless.
Ginnie Hart: It is NOW just starting to get very cold, Mike, with many night frosts in a row. I 'spect most of these leaves will be gone within a week or so?! Thanks.

This picture is a delight & joy Ginnie: everything that W J Phillips' (no relation) isn't today..
Ginnie Hart: Well, thank you, kind sir. We are now back home after such a good weekend away, W J Phillips notwithstanding! smile

Gobsmacked indeed and I love the colours, maybe some of the colours are left for Philine, who will be here next weekend. I was agreat weekend, it still is, we are on our way home.
Ginnie Hart: I hope Philine will get some of the colors, though with the night frosts now, many of the leaves will finally fall. It was such a glorious weekend and NOW we are safely back home. smile

Oh, what a wonderful autumn image - I hope to see it next weekend. I hear you are on way to Veere - a beautiful area along this Belgian- Dutch coast!
Ginnie Hart: We are now having a week of night frosts, Philine, so I wonder how many of these leaves will have fallen by the time you see them? I was quite surprised by all the color we saw the entire trip...reminding me that it is indeed still autumn. Have a good trip...and we LOVED Veere...though short and sweet, and very cold!

Now I thought that 1 Decemeber was the start of winter but no siggn of that in teh south yet. This is a glorious view though and says everything that I like about the autumn. I'm glad you've had a good time away.
Ginnie Hart: We are just now starting to get night frosts, Alan, so I 'spect all these leaves will soon be gone. But for this trip, it was wonderful to see them. Thanks.

Un shot admirable
JP
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, JP.
It is autumn like there but wintery here with no leaves on the trees and snow on the ground. Very pretty shot.
Ginnie Hart: We are just now getting night frosts, Mary, so I 'spect all the leaves will be falling soon. It did seem such a change from all the snow there in North America!
First of December and still mild although the forecast is for colder with frost so this could be a glorious final act to autumn Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: You hit it exactly, Bill, because starting last night and going forward, we're having many night frosts. These leaves will be on the ground before you can say Jack Frost!
Bruges is so lovely in autumn.
Love to visit it again.
I've been there like 3 times already.
Ginnie Hart: It was my third time, too, LC, but my first with Astrid. It was a glorious day and we loved seeing it together. What a delightful city on the map!

You have hit the target - is what Ray says. I says so too. This is not your usual Brugge photo.
Ginnie Hart: We walked past this spot from the train station into city center, Louis, and I already felt like I had died and gone to heaven. What a great way to start a day in Brugge! Thanks.
A very beautiful shot of a part of Bruges I didn't get to on a flying visit some years ago.
Ginnie Hart: We walked right by this spot on our way from the train station to city center, Brian. What a great way to start our day in Brugge!
Yes a lovely shot and autumn is certainly still in full swing there Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Janet. Last night we started having night frosts, so my guess is the leaves will all be on the ground very soon!
Great foliage and the spatter of leaves on the grass makes a wonderful effect!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tom. It actually quite surprised me!

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elaine. It was definitely a breath-taking moment!
Absolutely gorgeous and I am so jealous as I get ready to go out and shovel now.
Ginnie Hart: It wouldn't surprise me if most of these leaves are now on the ground, Michael, since we started having night frosts the next day. You'd have to go rake them up. smile
Such gorgeous light, colors and reflections! This is so beautiful - it's got it all!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. It definitely took my breath away. smile
