What a wonderful picture from Blue Ridge. I remember the many kind of pumpkins all over town. The small dragonfly had my attention.
Great tribute to Lisl.

A million shades of brown in this picture.

The horn of plenty. I have read this historical book - sort of language development overview. Anyhow, it tells the story of the "founding fathers" and mothers almost dying of hunger in the land of plenty. Being puritans, they believed that only certain foods are to be eaten. So they waited for the ships to bring new stock of barley and whatever else they deemed okay. The turkeys still had a grand life then. Those who had contact with the natives, refused to listen to the savages as they are savages and what they eat is not good for a puritan.
Ginnie Hart: The stories we could tell, Louis. (sigh) Now we seem to sort of "get it?"
A lovely still life shot all set out ready for you, did they know you were coming smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Brian. I do suppose they aimed to please! smile
The tones are brilliant, hats off to the scene setter and the photographer
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Martin. It did seem to be a good photo op!
Well sculpted pumpkin and squash!
Ginnie Hart: Fit for the Queen herself, Tom?! smile
So beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Such a warm colourful image, Ginnie; the various textures are beautifully captured. It reminds me of a calendar picture you would see for the month of November. So thoughtful of you to remember Lisl on her birthday. Hope she had a good one.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. It did seem fitting for November...and for Lisl. smile
