No...the aroma of coffee is an important aspect to the act of consuming it, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes for me, Ray, it's even MORE important! smile
that's what gets me out of bed in the morning Ginnie... aren't self timers great...

he had a difficult time hanging the sing straight... two screws... and the wire bent to bring the left side up...

i'm sure that he was being given instructions grin
....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Whenever I smell coffee, Peter, even if I don't drink it, I go into a sensual trance. I even like coffee-flavored ice cream! smile

And yes, I think the hanging of this plaque was a bit of a challenge. smile
Smell and taste are interrelated, so that makes sense as long as it ends in drinking it.
Ginnie Hart: What would we do without BOTH senses, Michael, right? I don't even have to always drink it, however, because sometimes the smell itself fills me up. Weird how that happens.
Every day, Ginnie....smile
Ginnie Hart: It's one of those important, special rituals of life, Frank, isn't it!
I'll drink to that!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like that, Michael. smile
It isn't actually! I have the day off... I'll sleep in before smelling the coffee, thank you! smile Nice catch, Ginnie!!
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling this is one of the few daily rituals experienced world-wide, Elizabeth. Our sense of smell is very powerful, isn't it! Thanks.

What is it about coffee? I like the whole ritual with us BOTH drinking coffee 'met iets lekkers' at the same time.
Great picture, I am so glad that the iron wire is the way it is, it adds to the picture. Great lines too.
Ginnie Hart: The time I really smell the coffee, believe it or not, is when you pour your rare instant version from time to time on weekends. It sends my senses soaring. smile Anyway, thanks. When I saw this on our Blue Ridge walk, it totally grabbed my attention.
Coffee aroma is so important Ginnie...Well spotted and captured!
Ginnie Hart: For some people, Richard, it's the most important start to the day! smile Thanks.

That is a sign which is appearing over here these days, but not so artistically as this, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: The quote is older than the hills, of course, Lisl, so I wonder how many new ways it can be shown. I guess it never grows old anywhere?!

Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Chris. smile

Is the coffee served here gratis? I like to smell coffee - this is already sufficient to me - for I'm a passionate tea drinker.
Ginnie Hart: It's funny, Philine, but I don't drink hard-core coffee, almost ever, but I LOVE the smell of it. I love the taste of coffee (especially in ice cream!) but for drinking, I prefer decaf, which I'm drinking as we speak. I'm learning to like all kinds of tea more and more because of our English friends. smile

Koffey is an important part of my morning Ginnie, as I think you know.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Chad. I know. smile

Your photo tempts me to have a small coffee. I can almost smell the odor up to here by imagination
Ginnie Hart: Isn't it fun, Marie, when just the thought of something can bring a smell to mind. smile Merci.
I like the smell of roasting coffee beans but I prefer to drink tea grin
Ginnie Hart: That's a bit like me loving the smell of coffee but preferring it without caffeine, Bill. smile

No, it;s an important part of the ritual of coffee drining. I wish my sense of smell was better.
Ginnie Hart: And I'm just the other way around, Alan. I love the smell but don't need to drink it. smile
I took your advise then had a sip too.
Ginnie Hart: Good for you, Mary! smile
surely would love to smell smile
Ginnie Hart: I think that's true for many people around the world, Joshi.
I'm not going to argue with over this thought Ginnie, I love the smell of coffee, indeed when I open a new pack of coffee I even hold it to my nose and smell it then.
Ginnie Hart: In that case, Brian, it's intoxicating. smile

PROCAFFEINATING (n.) the tendency not to start anything until you have had a cup of coffee.

Not a clichè, but a science.

I heard there are people actually drinking tea. I dunno what one should do with them.
Ginnie Hart: Now that's a good word, Louis. And tea drinkers? Well, I'm learning to give them a lot of respect (because I have to, HA!).
i certainly like my cup of brew, Ginnie. great shot and great message
Ginnie Hart: There are few who don't know what this is all about, Ayush, I dare say. smile
The best aroma in the world, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: To which many would attest, Pauline. smile
I will always remember working in a restaurant known for it's coffee and on the first floor they sold the coffee beans in the shop part, and the aroma was just wonderful
Ginnie Hart: I worked for Starbucks two months, Janet, (long story), and know exactly what you mean. It's wonderful, isn't it!
How about drinking it, too!
Ginnie Hart: Of course, Tom, though for me I don't have to actually drink it...smelling it can be enough. smile
My dad couldn't begin! Adorable! When I remember I'll put the timer on it and the aroma wakes me up! I really should do that more often, ha!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, you should, Robin. HA! My daughter often said to me, "We should do that more often!" smile
oops...that comment was supposed to say...my DAY couldn't begin!
Ginnie Hart: Ahhhh. NOW I get it. I was still hangin' with your dad. grin

Love the message ... a gentle reminder not to be so stressed. I could use a little reminder like that on my wall, too.
Ginnie Hart: It's as old as the hills...the quote...but sometimes we really do need to stop and remember! Thanks, Emily.

Although the thought is supposed to have deeper meaning, I suppose a literal interpretation is fine also smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes and yes, John. Either way, I assume there is good in the exercise. smile

my coffee made me ill this morning, but it's a nice sentiment haha
Ginnie Hart: You may be the one person out of 100 to whom that happened, Elaine?! sad So sorry.
Time to relax...
Ginnie Hart: Exactly. Some would say it's always time...?

It would take me a long time to smell the coffee. I don't have a sense of smell ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Are you serious, Cherry??? Oh, you poor thing!
I do, every weekday at 7 am, with a group of friends. It is not a habit, it is a ritual.
Ginnie Hart: I like the word "ritual," Brian. Astrid and I often talk about how important our rituals are!
