A celebration of some of my favourite fruits, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Mine, too, Ray. Thanks.
i like the old wagon as much as the gourds... squash and pumpkins Ginnie... have a great weekend....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Peter. I love everything about the Dutch polder, all throughout the year!
I need to build a wagon like that. Very nice shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. I bet it comes in handy for all kinds of things. smile
What a beautiful presentation Ginnie! Great capture.
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Richard.

They always look so good ... Do people actually use pumpkins a lot in home cooking ... we certainly don't. Maybe they are just used for the seeds.
Ginnie Hart: I buy as many pumpkins as we can eat at this time of the year, Richard, both for the seeds (which I roast, of course) and for the eating. I don't make pumpkin pies, yet....

I bought in Zeeland just the little, green pompoen with the yellow stripes! The autumnal light is wonderful!
Ginnie Hart: Whether for eating or decoration, Philine, I LOVE the pumpkins at this time of the year. They are so much a part of autumn for me. smile

Complete with some Dutch language for us Ginnie. Will you be doing anything special this weekend?
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch language is the add-on just for you, Chad! smile Nothing special this weekend except for my group therapy session at the hospital today for my knee replacement in January. We take our crutches today to get them fitted. Lots of prep time for the big day. HA!

De quoi faire de bonnes soupes
JP
Ginnie Hart: Good eating all around, JP. I hadn't thought about soup but that would be good, too. Hmmm. I'll have to find a good recipe! I love to roast the seeds and to eat the pumpkins at our evening meal.
It is charming this charette of Cucurbitaceae. It tempts me to take some to make a good soup
Ginnie Hart: You and someone else mentioned soup, Marie. I'll have to find a good recipe and make some. Good idea. smile Merci.

Beautiful light here. Loved that little trip in the neighbourhood. Never knew there is that much variety of pumpkins.
I love this season. (and you)
Ginnie Hart: A stand of pumpkins like this (and in Blue Ridge, remember?!) is part of why this is my favorite time of the year!
We now have the TV Christmas ads in full swing so Pumpkins are soooooo yesterday grin
Ginnie Hart: UGH! I guess we photographers will need to rectify that situation, Bill. Christmas music won't start here in the Netherlands till December 5, Sinterklaasdag. Then it will be non-stop till Christmas. Lucky us.

You are very taken with pumpkins, Ginnie. Wish you could be here today - Michael is going to make Pumpkin Soup with ours
Ginnie Hart: Now that so many have mentioned pumpkin SOUP, I wonder if you have a favorite recipe I could use, Lisl??? I could Google for one but I'd much rather try one from my Big Sis!
Pie and soup ahead. Pumpkin soup is a wonderful creation that you can change every time you make it.
Ginnie Hart: So now all I want to do is make some good pumpkin soup!!! If you have a special recipe, please share it!!!
A great collection of colours and shapes, Ginnie.
Have a good weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Pauline, and thank you.
A wonderful seasonal collection there Ginnie. I made pumpkin soup once but was rather put off by the prepping process. Have a great weekend
Ginnie Hart: Oh dear me, Janet. Don't tell me that about the prep time. That might be a deal breaker?! sad

I believe the presentation would draw customers as well as photographers.
Ginnie Hart: I should think so, Louis, indeed.
Oh how you live in this little fantasy land!! Love!
Ginnie Hart: Fantasy is a good word for it, Robin...indeed! smile Thanks.
I've never tried Pumpkin but then I'm not a fan of that type of vegetable anyway, mind you, that doesn't stop me enjoying your picture.
Ginnie Hart: I LOVE pumpkin, Brian, and have "taught" Astrid to love it as well. You just never know about these things. smile
What a wonderful selection, my whole years production was a pity full four winter squashes
Ginnie Hart: Four is better than none, Martin, so you can be proud of them! Take it from someone who didn't grow any!
Did you take any home?
Ginnie Hart: No, Tom...just in several pictures, that's all. I already had two at home!
You capture the everyday so well...
Ginnie Hart: Than;s kind of you, Larry. Thank you.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, JP. I love this time of the year.
very nice assortment, Ginnie. a good photo opportunity here
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. I grabbed the opportunity while I had it. smile
yes yes, we must find a nubile male virgin to sacrifice at the solstice... oh we missed it? darn, maybe next year tongue
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. smile
Light, shadow, filled seasonal wagon, and the curve in the road. What a good image.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Jacquelyn. I just LOVE this time of the year.
I love all the different shapes and colors of gourds! Great capture with the position of the sun... and well placed flare!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. My daughter often said, "We should do this more often!" My sentiment exactly. smile

Looks like autumn.

Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Paule. My favorite time of the year. (I hate that I can't comment on your blog...because it says I have to be logged in?)
