wow are those a bunch of tiny houses? that country you live in ROCKS smile lol great shot
Ginnie Hart: Yes, these are little houses at the open-air museum in Enkhuisen, Elaine. It's an entire village where you'd want to live, if they'd let you! smile
But how comfortable?
Ginnie Hart: From what I saw that day, Michael, I could have easily lived there!

Houses behind the dike, protected from the water...
And the big trees shield them from the heavy rains.
Great view and love the brickwork.
Some people still live in these little houses.
Ginnie Hart: I remember how striking this cluster of roofs seemed to me when I saw them like this, MLMA. The first word that came to mind was "cozy." smile
and a wonderful village it is Ginnie... great composition and light....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Peter.
Huddled in a corner...Lovely capture Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: On the edge of town, Richard, before reaching the sea! Thanks.

Interesting - I wonder if they have moved this place from somewhere else and re-erected it Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Good question, Chris. I do believe some structures were moved but I'm not sure if all of them were. This is what I found: "The "outside" museum was completed in 1983 and it recreates a village of small houses from all over the IJsselmeer region and represents the way people lived in the IJsselmeer in the 19th century and at the start of the 20th century."

oh, een lekker dorpje, hidden nbehind the bushes and grasses - very cosy en gezellig!
Ginnie Hart: It felt that way, Philine, from the dijk. The Zuiderzee was on the other side.
Don't you just love those roof tiles?
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Bill!

The whitewashed brick grabs my eye.
Ginnie Hart: Mine, too, Mary. smile
It's like a fairy tale, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: One I wouldn't mind living in, Pauline. smile
great, bright exposure. i like the cheery, sunny feeling here
Ginnie Hart: It was one of those typical Dutch days, Ayush, with bright sun, lowering skies, and rain...all back-n-forth. You guessed what I caught in this image!
Just four words today: 'I want to go there'
Ginnie Hart: You'd love it, Brian! (my 4 words) smile
Cosy looking cottages, I do love the pantiled roofs
Ginnie Hart: It has such a "gezellig" feel to it, Martin...which is the Dutch word for cozy!

Ginnie Hart: I think you'd have to be careful of whatever you said, Louis, with all that eaves-dropping! smile

C'est magnifique ces petites maisons dans la verdure.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Sabrina. They looked so charming to me so close together like this.
That capture just warms my heart! Yes, so COZY!
