The little boid has a wake wave, Ginnie, but the boat is struggling to make way.
Ginnie Hart: I wonder if this is all show and no go (part of the open-air museum props)?
That is a lovely shot. It must be nice to live among canals like that.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. As Astrid would say, more Dutch you cannot get!
Hopefully Scotland are not going to sail off into the sunset. So far No is in the lead....I had to get up and have a look!
Ginnie Hart: It does appear you're right, Bill, from what I just saw: 55-45. But for awhile there, many were sweating bullets.

A classic, a true classic.
Love the reflections here.
More Dutch you cannot get.
We had a great time at the Museum. IHVJ
Ginnie Hart: I knew you would say that: More Dutch you cannot get. And it's true! Bedankt, MLMA. IHVJ.
What a fabulous perspective Ginnie!
Have a great week-end.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. These views are so soulful for me.
Lovely reflection, Ginnie...It won't go under that bridge though....smile
Ginnie Hart: Even with lowering the mast, I don't think it would fit, Frank, you're right. I suppose it'll have to head out the other way?!

Very tranquil Ginnie but no doubt it's all metres below sea level..
Ginnie Hart: All of it is so Dutch, Chris, isn't it!
this is a beautiful image for Boat Friday Ginnie... i like the duck heading towards you....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. You've heard me say it before but more Dutch you cannot get.

they have water streets there? i would love to live on a water street smile nice shot for boat friday, were you in a boat?
Ginnie Hart: The fun thing about so many of these typical Dutch towns, Elaine, is that there are street-streets and canal-streets. Take your pick. Sometimes a boat can come right up to your backyard. How cool is that! But, no, we weren't in a boat here...just walking across a foot bridge.

This is such a charming image Ginnie, just what I need to get over my disappointment.
Ginnie Hart: I guess I must have known, Chad. (sigh)
That's how I imagine Holland, Ginnie. A lovely, peaceful shot.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Puline. More Dutch you cannpt get. smile Thanks.
One going out, one coming in.
Ginnie Hart: Always, Mary. smile

That's never going to fit under that bridge smile Weekend? Oh yes, I've already lost touch with what day it is smile
Ginnie Hart: Even it they lower their mast, Alan, I don't think they'll fit. Guess they'll have to go the other way.
A classic capture, Ginnie. Love how you've caught the reflections of the boat's mast and leafy tree beside it. Just lovely.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. More Dutch you cannot get!
Is that a sluice gate? wink
It's so cute smile
Ginnie Hart: Actually, LC, that would make sense. Then it would fit for going out!

Ginnie Hart: You really WERE there, Louis. We actually had koffie in that cafe in your image! smile It's a small world after all.
And I even see a touch of colors in those leaves! Yippee! Beautiful and so Dutch! Love! You two have a wonderful weekend!
Ginnie Hart: Even though this was mid-August, Robin, it felt very autumn-like, for sure. I love the Dutch weather in that regard! smile Thanks. And you, too.

A lovely peaceful image - hope the two of you have a great weekend
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Anne.
This looks a nice spot for a stroll.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Brian. We would love to go back there one day to catch everything we missed.
I feel like taking a swim...
Ginnie Hart: HA! I never see anyone swimming in the canals, Larry, but Astrid says they're clean and good for swimming. So go at it!

Beautiful! Speaking toward the end of the said weekend ... it's been fun and today is spectacular Spring at its best smile
Ginnie Hart: Congratulations once again, Geoff, on your show (I hope my comment took?!). I can imagine how you anticipate Spring...as much as I'm anticipation Autumn here right now, my favorite time of the year.
Lovely shot - very nicely composed, Ginnie!!
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Elizabeth.

Thanks Ginnie ... sadly no comments 'stuck' and I missed your fabulous words smile
Ginnie Hart: I have tried again, twice, Geoff, but I don't see the comment. Maybe it's in a Black Hole somewhere? Anyway, feel free to copy-n-paste this there:

"I'll try another comment, Geoff, and hope this one takes.... I can only imagine what an exhibition of your own work would feel like, with all the myriad emotions you have described so well. To be someone who photographs AND writes...that's a book in the making. I hope that's next on your agenda?!"

Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, JP. Very tempting to most of us, I'm sure. Merci.
