Do you sometimes wear wooden shoes, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Never, Ray. But did I ever mention that Astrid wore them her entire 11th year of school, just to be different? smile

i would totally wear those, get them fitted to my feet like dentures lol i love this shot, makes me want a pair...
Ginnie Hart: Astrid wore a pair her entire 11th year of school, Elaine, just to be different. HA! I can picture you doing the same thing. And then you can keep them and prop rhem up somewhere for show. smile
I always love your shots of these old Dutch shoes! The lighting is great here!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. I do have a "thing" for wooden shoes, for sure! smile
Just enough morning light to find the shoes...
Ginnie Hart: I like that, Jacquelyn. smile

Oh, what did happen to the klompje on the left? It doesn't want to stand up for working?
Ginnie Hart: Sleepyheads, Philine. I like that thought. smile

I always love these worn klompen. I still have mine, the ones I used working in the garden.
Love the light, great tittle smile
Rise we did, now I hope to shine smile
Ginnie Hart: You know how much I love these wooden shoes, MLMA, every time/where I see them. Knowing you wore them your 11th year of school always brings a big smile to my face. I wish I had known you then! smile

I bet there will be a fair number of people looking for their work shoes today. Not me, though smile Nor you, of course! Enjoy Atlanta.
Ginnie Hart: I love it for those of us who don't have to work today, Alan. Lucky us. But for the rest, my "sympathies" are with them. smile

Happy trails these days for you. I feel like you're preparing the way for our trip in two weeks.

Beautiful light, subject and tones
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Marie.
Nice light Ginnie.I don't like Mondays, you know what's coming for the rest of the week usually.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mick. Even though I'm retired, I have sympathy for those of you who still must go to work!
I have rised but I ain't shining :d

Lovely picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Give yourself some time and leeway, Bill. grin

At least with clogs you don't have to brush them with boot Polish Ginnie, or do you have to varnish them?
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good point, Chad. Astrid says they come varnished, after which you don't need to do anything. By the time they need another coat, they're already worn out. smile
Lovely shot, Ginnie. You can imagine their owners kicking them off after a hard day of work.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Pauline, and oh, yes, indeed. smile
How's your Dutch coming along, Ginnie smile Soon you'll be qualified to wear them smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! I probably could only wear one shoe of a pair by that criterion, Tom. smile
I notice the initials ZZM on the first pair, front and back. Sounds like someone who loves sleep. Haha.
Ginnie Hart: Good one, Mary. Actually, that stands for Zuiderzee Museum (ZZM). smile

It is a very pretty composition in the dark! and with very beautiful colors, I love! good week
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Pat. Merci.
I know, already Monday?! ;(
ZZM? ENN?
Z is a popular letter in Holland. smileI see.
Ginnie Hart: ZZM = ZuiderZee Museum, LC. Or, if you'd prefer, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, as in still sleeping. HA!
Colours and textures are superb Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Richard.
I think to weather vanes and chimneys we must add ageing clogs to your list of favourite subjects Ginnie, these are great.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, and thank you very much, Brian. I do like a good set of clogs! smile
Have a wonderful one! Temperatures here in the city are absolutely PERFECT! Love the wabi-sabi(ness) of this capture!
Ginnie Hart: I know you're in heaven, Robin! And yes, I always think of you whenever I see wabi-sabi-ness. smile

Ach mam, moet dat nu echt weer? Hah, my two boys brought a pair of clogs back from Dutchland the year they turned two. Both walked them until the sole was through. People looked up here is SA, when one of them came clogging along.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Great story, Louis. I love it! smile
Love that foreboding looking shadow on the right, it seems like it's creeping through the image.
Ginnie Hart: That's what we photographers love so much about the light, Will! Thank you.
It looks like someone kicked that pair off while running through the door. Very nice shot, Ginnie, in your distinctive style.
Ginnie Hart: The thing I love about this open-air museum, Michael, is that it's all set up as though people really were still living there, exactly as you have described! Thanks.
you did good with this one Ginnie... i looks more like a home....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: As I just told Michael, the thing I love about this open-air museum, Peter, is that it's all set up as though people really were still living there. Thanks.
