Wonderful typical Dutch scene. Never get tired of these 'quiet' places. Beautiful boat Friday picture. ( smile @ Ray)
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, MLMA. I never get tired of these typically Dutch scenes and ways of life. i feel so lucky to be able to see them!
Lol at Ray's comment...
Great find Ginnie!
Enjoy the weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard. It feels so peaceful, doesn't it.

that is sooooo pretty, that must really be a whole different country, i know it's not like that here... makes me want to travel...
Ginnie Hart: I almost didn't put this up, Elaine, because it seems so "ordinary" to me noiw, but then I realized it's not ordinary to most other people. I LOVE being able to travel...but then, it's part of my DNA, if you catch my drift.

Oh, what an adjective - I have to google! The Zuider Museum might be an eldorado for photographers like you! Ja, een heel rustig plekje!
Ginnie Hart: It's a take-it-easy kind of adjective, Philine. Sometimes that's what weekends are for...even though we do plan a fun little trip on Sunday. It's Open Monument Day tomorrow (when entrance fees are waived). Some places even extend it to Sunday. Lucky us.

Lovely in its simplicity, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Lisl. I almost didn't post it because it didn't seem "something" enough. But it did seem like a simple, pleasing scene that most non-Dutch people would never see.

Oh, here on Sunday, too - and we want to discover some places which are closed over the year! The central theme is: Colours!
Ginnie Hart: AHA! Well, then, we'll both make good use of the opportunity!
A delight Ginnie. A lovely feeling of peace and relaxation
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill, and exactly. More Dutch you cannot get.

A delightful scene; very tranquil and just right for a lazy day - well, for those people not working sad
Ginnie Hart: Or at least a taste of the weekend to come, Alan? Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, JP. Just what the doctor ordered.

Not enough? Good composition, flashes of colour to take the eye around the image and a lovely boat and nets as the subject. More than enough!
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Mike. I hope I'm not saying I'm bored with such scenes, because I'm not. I forget that others don't always see something like this every day!
Looks like nets for catching eels in Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Good eye, Mick. We'll make a Dutchman out of you yet! grin
I love your framing with the bright flowers.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary, and welcome back.
Such a peaceful shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It really is, Pauline. So very Dutch. Thanks.
So tranquil!
What sort of fish can you catch from this canal?
Ginnie Hart: I'll have to ask Astrid if this canal goes out to the nearby IJsselmeer but those nets are mostly for catching eels, LC.

I admire the colours in this Ginnie and how they compliment each other.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chad. Mother Nature enjoys doing her thing! smile
Wow! Friday already! And what a fabulous capture and yes....so dutch! Love it!
Ginnie Hart: Friday and Dutch go together very well, Robin, don't they! smile
thank you Ginnie and wish you and A too
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Ayush.
Your title sounds like a very good idea Ginnie, we are still taking things easy whilst Maureen gets back to full fitness.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes "lackadaisical" is the most important word of the day, Brain, but we don't always pay attention to it. I'm glad you and Maureen do.

Lackadaisical? Okay, I will try. I remember this boat from my 2012 visit.
Ginnie Hart: Lackadaisical is a good word, Louis, isn't it?! smile (I guess you could say that boat is standing the test of time?)
a simple boat and elaborate nets Ginnie... i love the framing with the pink wild flowers....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Peter. This is so very Dutch.
I see no daisies, so it should be easy...
Ginnie Hart: Good, Larry! grin
What are they catching, eels?
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Tom, eels and anything else that's in the way. smile
What a lovely, calming image!! We're having a lackadaisical Sunday evening... having been over hill and dale the last several day! smile
Ginnie Hart: I can just picture the fun you and Frank are having at this time of the year, Elizabeth. It's my favorite season!
