A fine weekend resort for home-making crows, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Crows of all sorts, Ray. I wouldn't mind having a perch up there myself. smile

This is a crisp image of the crow's nest. I will be on the lookout for the weekend .... in my case that will be today at 15.30 (3.30PM) sharp smile
Ginnie Hart: I know you love these crow's nests, as do I. I can picture you being the first one volunteering to go up each and every time. grin
Did you climb for a view of the landscape? Very nice shot.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Michael, we only viwed her from shore. But she's a real beauty. Just last weekend Lisl and her hubby sailed on it for a little tour.

Oh, I recall ... I like the b&w photo! (Originally I wanted to post a picture of 'The Matthew', too, showing an old grandma while trinking her coffee.)
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. Please show us YOUR photo soon!

When I look at that craft I have to remind myself they sailed it across the Atlantic!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Chris...well, at least the original. I know what you mean!

I'll remember your good wishes for a "vantage point" and make sure I find one this weekend. This looks good in black and white, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Lisl. Astrid would love being perched up there and now I wonder if anyone was allowed to climb up while on your little tour? Wouldn't that be fun! smile

The place of the watchtower doubtless... beautiful monochrome processing
Ginnie Hart: A place I would love to be for a few wonderful minutes, Marie. smile Merci.

Such a striking image ginnie ...very nice
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Shane.
Not much of a job being up there in a force 10 Atlantic storm!
Ginnie Hart: Definitely not for the faint of heart, Bill. smile
Wish I were there. My weekend is going to suck.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh. I'm so sorry, Michael. Chin up and make the best of what you have....!

I always felt sorry for the poor souls up there in all weathers.. but then they got the first view of the New World.
Ginnie Hart: Some people just LOVE that kind of weather and excitement, Alan. Astrid and I both love heights and I don't mind the rain. smile
This reminded me of Coast Australia, a BBC documentary series about Australia's seemingly endless coastline.
Really interesting smile
Ginnie Hart: Hmmmm. I guess you'd have to climb up high to see it all, LC??? smile

Perfect spot for nesting crows.

Not somewhere to be in last nights storms.

Have a good week-end.
Ginnie Hart: As long as I were safe, I'd quite like experiencing a storm up there, Mike. But then, I'm weird about weather! grin

Ha ha I waited for the colour to appear and then gave up waiting...you know my ipad Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Chad. Yes, I do know your iPad. grin
A good place to catch a breeze in the summer heat.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Mary!

Always stay on top of things; Ginnie.
Nice and sunny weekend!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I like that, HF. smile
It certainly has a great vantage poiont Ginnie! Very nicely captured.
Enjoy the weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. I plan to! smile
I like the Matthew's crow's nest. I may even be on board it this weekend, as its the Bristol Harbour Festival.
Ginnie Hart: How fun, Suzanne, especially now that I have seen it with my own eyes. I know Lisl and Michael were on it last weekend. smile
It's not the being up there, but the getting up there, that would be my problem, and a definite no-no for Maureen!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Brian. Getting up and down would be indeed challenging, but so very worth it. smile

To see the weekend from on top, I will have to use something that will take me high. When I am really high I can drop in for a visit there in Gorinchem - a rush visit smile
Ginnie Hart: Wouldn't that be fun,m Louis. One day, let's make it happen...wben we're NOT on on annual trip to America!!!
Looks quite safe - once you get up there!
Ginnie Hart: I am in total agreement, Martin. smile
I'm just surprised that Astrid didn't make her way up there! Or did she? Have a great weekend!
Ginnie Hart: If we were on the ship, I'm sure she would have asked if she could go up, Robin. As it was, we were on the shore, taking pictures as she sailed by. smile
Nice B&W, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Tom.
All that's missing is a rogue sailor with a black eye patch holding a spyglass to his good eye. Great shot of this crow's nest, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: That would be Astrid, in a Jack-Sparrow minute. HA! Thanks, Beverly.
I can almost see the pirates! love the POV
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Hollie. It was a great ship to watch sail by! smile

Happy Friday Ginnie! Haven't stopped by in a bit.. and I saw Peter had some cool photos from a photo convention(I think?). Did you also attend?
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Emily. I was in several of his images, too. smile We had a Shutterchance blogger meet-up in England back in May and 21 of us were there, plud some spouses or significant others. It's something we try to do from time to time...our 4th thus far. We love meeting each other!

> Good spot > to view only rain all weekend here.
Ginnie Hart: I actually wish we could have some of your rain, Jacquelyn. We did have a spot of it yesterday with rare thunder. I just wished it had lasted longer (I'm a big-storm freak!).

Very nice detailing smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Cherry.
A pirate boat?
Ginnie Hart: It looks like one, Oscar, for sure. It's actually a replica of The Matthew boat that John Cabot sailed from Bristol to North America in 1497. smile
