The shadows...and, that over-engineered bollard...make this excellent image special, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray. Everything about this spot caught my eye! smile

I wonder why they always say 'it's a dogs life'.....
I could do with a mid-week break.
Watching the USA play the Belgium team last night made this night only 4,5 hours.....
Congratulations are in order for team USA, what a performance, what a spirit.
Love this picture, the shadows are wonderful and.... lucky dog smile
Ginnie Hart: Today YOU need a break, MLMA, and I sure hope you get one at work for an easy day. Short night, indeed, but it was probably the best soccer game I've ever seen, period. One day soon you'll get your dog's life, I hope!
A wonderful image!! I am having a mid-week break actually - I've got Wednesday off!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks and good for you, Elizabeth. Enjoy your break...two days before the holiday (I hope you have tomorrow off, too, then?!).
Taking advantage of the weather.
Ginnie Hart: In England, Michael, this is very wise!!! Grab it the second you get it. smile

Sensible mutt, a good time to chill out
Ginnie Hart: He was definitely sensible, Chris. I could have set myself down beside him right then and there.
Awww... This peaceful scenery is just beautiful. It looks like a lazy afternoon (especially for the dog) and I like the little details like the book on the table.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Diana. It seemed to have everything one could want in one small space! smile
Absolutley! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks.
La lumière et les ombres sur cette photo sont très jolies et ce bon gros chien les savoure comme nous qui passons sur ton image.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mariue. For this one second this image had it all for me. smile

Sounds like a plan to me. The dog has the right idea. I've got a day off tomorrow and will be finally meeting Philine.
Ginnie Hart: Great, Alan, that you'll be meeting Philine. Please give her our greetings!!!

A dog's life seems to be pleasant, Ginnie - fine shot!
Ginnie Hart: The Life of Riley, as we often say, HF. smile Indeed.

Great shadows, lovely colourful elements, and a sleeping dog in the sunshine. All combined to make a great photo.
Ginnie Hart: It all seemed like a good combination, Mike. Thank you.
Delightful picture Ginnie. The strong shadows really make it
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill. The shadows definitely made it for me. smile
Dog days are here sad
It's rather muggy this morning.
Ginnie Hart: You need to come to Dutchland and bask in our delightful coolness, LC. We're barely hitting 60F this mid-morning.

Clearly not too hot or he/she would be in the shade Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Chad. It was a delightful day, wasn't it!
Oh, the dogs life....
Ginnie Hart: So true, Mary! smile

The book on the table suggests that you scared the people away. But the dog is immovable. Quite a still life.
Ginnie Hart: Interestinly, Louis, there was no one around when I took the picture. Hmmm. A potty break, paying the bill??
I wonder if he belongs to the people who sat at that table. I don't see a collar or leash, though. The shadows are wonderful, Ginnie; so sharp and clear.
Ginnie Hart: The place was momentarily deserted except for the dog, Beverly. I'm quite sure he/she knew exactly where the important people were. smile Thanks.
oh yes Ginnie...I wish I could put my feet up..after watching the tennis and football..
Love this image..
Ginnie Hart: Lots of good tennis and fottball, Ronky, in spite of the losses by many. It's that time of the year! smile
Indeed Ginnie...Superb shadow play here!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Rochard. smile
I like these sort of dogs, and they just love lazing about like this.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Brian. They teach us a lot, don't they. smile

Absolutely, there's nothing like a wee afternoon snooze smile
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes a 10-minute power nap is the perfect solution to everything. I should try it more often. grin

He waits his meal! but a composition, I love the shade
Ginnie Hart: He is indeed being very patient, I think, Pat. Thanks.
If it was as hot as it is here today then he should move into the shade.
Ginnie Hart: That day it felt good to be in the sun, but otherwise, Michael, I'd totally agree with you. And as a redhead, I usually have to sit in the shade anyway.

great picture Ginnie... just taking a nap with the sun on your back... love it....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. I'm quite sure he was in heaven.
lazing around in the sun is a perfect way take a break ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Even though I can't take too much sun, Cherry, I would have to agree with you. All that free (and important) vitamin D!
Now that's a perfect break!
Ginnie Hart: Just what the doctor ordered. smile
