For the Beauty of the Earth

...Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.

(from the United Methodist Hymnal Number 092, by Folliot S. Pierpoint)

In Syde, England, near Chad and Norma's home in May.

Today Louis is our guest at Vision & Verb, if you dare to follow his train of thought!  :)

Bluebells are magical, they work for me every time I see them smile
Ginnie Hart: I saw so many of them in England in May, Cherry. They totally mesmerized me!

Ginnie Hart: You're absolutely right, Bill!

Very pretty, Ginnie.

I'll go to V&V a little later...if I have a couple of pints first, then I should be able to follow along with ole Louis...

[grin]
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray. Whenever I see this in the woods anywhere, I am go smacked, as you would say.

This is such a wonderful sight. I love the blue-bell- carpet, like Bill said.
Love the blue in between the green.
Wonderful picture.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, MLMA. We were so lucky to be there at that time of the year. Later we would have missed them altogether!

The bluebells this year were some of the best I've seen for many years. This is a delightful view of them and has helped lift me on a Monday morning. My mother would appreciate your Methodist quote.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Alan. For some reason, that hymn of old immediately came to mind when I saw this!
May is the best time to visit the countryside. smile
June - best time to harvest wild garlic smile
Happy foraging (and cooking!). Ha!
Ginnie Hart: We actually saw a lot of wild garlic on that same walk, LC. In fact, our hostess picked some and added it to our salad for lunch. smile

I always love coming across a wood with a carpet of bluebells. Wonderful.
Ginnie Hart: I can certainly understand why, Mike!
Looks like the woods near where Ryan lives, a nice place for a walk.
Ginnie Hart: Kinda hard not to be enraptured by it, Mick!

This is a place I love to wander in peace Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I bet, Chad! I'll never forget it.
I do love to see bluebells in the woodland.
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Tom! Thanks.
So very pretty Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard.
They are the most beautiful of flowers as my recent series in a local wood showed. Do you not have Bluebells in America, or indeed Holland?
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure we have them in America and here in Holland, Brian, but not anywhere near the places I have lived. So when I do see them, it's like I've never seen them before! Thanks.
You have captured bluebell time very nicely Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It's pure delight for me, Janet! Thank you.
not that's a pleasant wood to walk through ...
Ginnie Hart: I can still feel what it felt like to be there, Dennis. Thanks.

I remember that hymn well Ginnie, wonderful colours in the bluebell wood
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes I'm amzed by what immediately comes to mind when I see some things, Anne. When we stayed with Lisl, she was singing hymns from her youth all the time.
Love coming across patches of color in the forest. Beautiful capture!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Robin. May is the month for these bluebells, which I'll never forget.
