So much fun and nice B&W!
Ginnie Hart: It was great fun, Beth...and thanks!
That video is so cute.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. Astrid at first wasn't going to try because she said it was too hartd. But I convinced her...because I know she can do anything, as you can see! smile

HA.... you have to try everything once, I always say.
Great B&W, those bikes have a great design.
I have to admit that it looks more easy than it is... but I survived and it was great.
Great vimeo grin...
Ginnie Hart: Remember how you almost refused to do it??? I convinced you because you can do ANYTHING. It's the challenge that drives you, I think. Anyway, you did it and you did it well. You were like a little kid, giggling the entire time. grin BEDANKT.

Hahaha - love the video of Astrid on the bike Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Your Little Sis did a great job, Chris, didn't she! At first she said it was too hard to do but I reminded her that THAT'S the kind of challenge she loves. Once she got started, she giggled the entire time. grin
Never rode a penny farthing. Kinda like a unicycle with a training wheel.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That may be a good way to put it, Michael. Astrid did finally get the hang of it, saying it was harder to ride than it looks. I believe her. smile
strange bicycle, but funny.
Have a nice Wednesday.
Ginnie Hart: Different strokes for different folks, Oscar??? grin

i love the video of Astrid, all woogedy on the bike lol... those are great style bikes, and the shot is fitting
Ginnie Hart: Astrid was giggling like a little girl the entire time, Elaine. Thanks. It was so fun.
il y a des roues de dégonflées ,bonne journée .
Ginnie Hart: I'll take your word for it, Keyouest. grin
Lady P hardly wobbled at all!! Next she will have to try a full sized one!
Ginnie Hart: She can do anything she sets her mind to, Bill, as you already know. If someone offers her a full-sized one, I'll make sure she tries it. smile

Before I scrolled down I thought you had come upon a convention of trick cyclists. Then I discovered you had brought your own! Excellent.
Ginnie Hart: HA! It's amazing what we've come to, Mike, isn't it! smile

I sat waiting for the colour to come and nothing happened Ginnie. I can see these becoming a craze...or perhaps not.
Ginnie Hart: No color for you, Chad, except hopefully in the video. Maybe one day even I will dare to try one. grin
Ha ha! I saw an article about penny farthing polo a couple of weeks ago on BBC news.
I thought it was cool!
But it's kinda dangerous cos there's no break!
Ginnie Hart: No brake, indeed, LC, which is why it took time for Astrid to slow down. HA! But playing polo on one of these??? That would be a sight to behold! smile
that is fun wink
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, Joshi. smile
More a half penny farthingsmile pennies had a huge front wheel.
Ginnie Hart: You would know these things better than I do, John, so I'll take your word for it. smile

Nice B&W; the video shows a Tour de France candidate? ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, HF. And Astrid will be quite honored! smile
Makes you wonder why they made them like that in the first place. Loved the video.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Mary. But then, everyone likes variations on a theme, I guess?? Thanks. smile

I can't get to the video; Mad House filtering is preventing such pleasures. Those penny farthings look too modern, though, with their pneumatic tyres. It's Ride Your Bike to Work Day here today; you get a free tee shirt.. and a breakfastsmile
Ginnie Hart: I'm quite sure you got your free t-shirt and breakfast, Alan, knowing you. In fact, you were probably first in line. smile
What a great shot of these most unusual bikes, and it doesn't surprise me one jot that Astrid had a go on one of these, she made a good job of missing the little boy running about just before the end of the video smile
Ginnie Hart: At first Astrid didn't think she could do it, Brian, but I said all the right things to encourage her, of course. As you see, she was like a little girl. And that little boy probably looks closer than he actually was. HA!
Wow, Ginnie, I'm really impressed by Astrid's sense of balance. She's a good sport to have ridden one of these contraptions; it doesn't look easy.

I notice in your B&W capture that they also have something similar to a go-cart as well.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid said it WASN'T easy, Beverly, which is why she almost didn't even try it. But after much persuasion, she was indeed a good sport. smile And yes, there were go-carts and metal hoops, too.
Nice effects here Ginnie! great shot!
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Ronky.

Penny farting? Over here they do that for free!

You do anything? My wife and her two older sister (60, 64 and 69) did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIOoyMS5OFw picture http://www.dirtyboots.co.za/operators/wild-five-zip-line/ A growing craze - do the zip line. You two coming?
Ginnie Hart: Now THAT would be a hoot, Louis. I could get 'high' on that. grin

Love the B&W ...looks great fun Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Shane. It was especially fun for me, watching. smile
Oh wonderful Great capture in B&W Ginnie. Astrid did so well didn't she. I couldn't have done that
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. Astrid is always such a good sport! smile
Those are toy penny-farthings! Astrid looks pretty insecure!
Ginnie Hart: Not the same as the big ones, for sure, Tom, but easier to get on, I bet. HA! Astrid said it wasn't easy but she did it and giggled the entire time. smile
I LOVE your photo, Ginnie! Just the right amount of everything!
And I LOVE Astrid riding the farthing! She's so wonderful! Tell Louis that Astrid and I will do the zip line... and you and Frank can stand on the bank laughing at our squeals! smile
Ginnie Hart: Actually, I can totally see ME doing the zip-line, too, Elizabeth...and taking a video while doing it. HA! grin
Great fun Ginnie.
I loved the video!
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Richard. Astrid is such a good sport. smile

@ Elizabeth that is a YES grin....
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes. Me, too! smile
This looks so old fashioned > till I saw that fun video of Astrid.
Ginnie Hart: It IS old-fashioned, Jacquelyn, which is half the fun of it. Aren't you glad we don't ride bikes like this now! smile
