It might be their year, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: That would be nice, Ray, since it elluded them the last time.

You got paid off in foot balls for this one Ginnie... yea! Halland....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: The whole country went bonkers, Peter!!! No other country has won more than 3 goals thus far. smile
HA! That's great! Frank told me about the match and said you'd be pleased!
Ginnie Hart: We watched the entire match, Elizabeth, and were over-the-moon pleased! smile

Don't tell me these are Astrid's, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Are you kidding me, Lisl. She wouldn't be caught DEAD in them, even if it meant a Dutch win. HA! These belong to one of the waitresses where we ate.

This came very unexpected... 'we' never thought they might even win one game.
However, it is all about the last match of the tournament. The Dutch should have played like this 4 years ago in South Africa. The final was between Spain and The Netherlands...
Great picture and no these are not my nails grin.....
Thumbs up though smile
Ginnie Hart: I think this was your vengeance match, MLMA. You were out for the kill! YAY. I hope they're on a roll now. smile

I bet these cost a fortune! As for the tootball thing, let's just say I'm looking forward to the Tour de France smile Good shot, though.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Alan. So, are you saying you're not much of a soccer fan, Alan?????? HA!

I am kidding you, Ginnie - honest!
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! I know, Lisl. You know her better than that, of course. grin

In England we are not talking about football today Ginnie..
Ginnie Hart: I woke up yesterday and looked, Chris, and then groaned for you. I'm so sorry. That's how we felt last time.

Ja, de Nederlanders kunnen erg trots zijn op deze uitslag- What a game - and what a fine idea to decorate the nails- and what a fine selective treatment!
(I'm not sure that our guys will be so successful today, they will miss Arjen Robben who has been so helpful for the Bavarians)
Ginnie Hart: The camaraderie is just splendid, Philine, win or lose...though it does help when we win! Bedankt.
It was a great result. I watched Honduras trying to kick France off the pitch yesterday, luckily they failed. England need to be brave enough to play Rooney in his best position.....on the bench
Ginnie Hart: Mind you, we did root for you in our sleep, Bill. Next time maybe it'll be during our waking hours!

That is really great Ginnie, and what a result! Well done the Dutch.
Ginnie Hart: I guess you could say I've become quite Dutch, Chad, when I can whoop it up with the best of them. smile
pas pour moi je n'aime pas les ballons ,bises
Ginnie Hart: HA! But you can enjoy it for others, Keyouest, right? smile

It was a wonderful game - so pleased for them after the final in South Africa.
Ginnie Hart: So you remember, too, Mike! With a Vengeance has new meaning now, right?! smile

This time you need five fingers, Ginnie! What about holidays in Spain ;-) ?
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, HF!!! I think I'll stay home for awhile. smile
Don't forget to dye your hair orange too, G! wink
Ginnie Hart: HAHA! It's almost there already, LC. smile
That is not a score; that is a humiliation.
Ginnie Hart: Making a startement for South Africa, Mary, I think! No other team has made more than 3 goals thus far. That, too, is making a statement. I hope we can keep it up. smile
Oh that is good news, pity I find all things football boring.
Ginnie Hart: Good news for us, John, yes...especially if we can keep it up. Otherwise it's boring for us, too!
They deserved the win, Ginnie. Hope they can keep it up.

With a name like Andrighetti, you can probably guess who we are cheering for, haha.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Well, Beverly, as we always say, may the best team(s) win! smile
I like the picture Ginnie but sadly I'm with Alan on current sporting events, it was a great MotoGP yesterday and Formula 1 in Austria next Sunday, then Le Tour.
Ginnie Hart: We all have to pick our games, Brian. HA! Mostly it's tennis for us right now! smile
Oh my...it definitely was... No one saw that coming
Ginnie Hart: Not even the Dutch, Ronky! smile

The 'new' Dutch team was awesome. That header goal from Van Persie may still prove to be the goal of the tournament. I just love to be in the Netherlands when they believe they have a good chance in an important tournament.

Oranje boven, oranje boven!
Ginnie Hart: This may be their year, Louis. I sure hope so! smile

That is some nail decoration smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Anne...for someone else, I might add! grin
Didn't they do well!

Great celebratory shot Ginnie, as ever I like the selective colouring! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. Let's hope they can repeat the act! smile
The best start so far Ginnie! Les's cross our fingers...
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Richard. All fingers and toes crossed. smile

This is news! orange holland and blu french !!
Ginnie Hart: More orange you cannot get, Pat, if you are Dutch! smile
Great nails and a great topical photo and great fun. I'm not into football, so won't comment on that.
Ginnie Hart: We're not into football/soccer either, Suzanne...except when the Dutch play in the World Cup. smile
England get beat by Italian waiters and the Dutch beat the Spanish waiters.Just watched the nil nil draw and fell asleep.
Ginnie Hart: And that's how the cookie crumbles, Mick. (sigh)
I think the score surprised many bookies. smile
Ginnie Hart: Even the Dutch, Michael. ESPECIALLY the Dutch!

I admit that the Soccer World Cup annoys me more that it interests me. We speak only about it while the world in things more important to see and to make the sport having become unfortunately an environment rotted by the money. But your photo is funny
Ginnie Hart: Your point is well-taken, Marie. I've almost begun to feel the same way about the Olympic Games. But sometimes the original sport of the game shines through (reminding me of my university days!). If only it weren't about money for so many people!
No coment... XD. sad Congratulations!
Ginnie Hart: Oooops. So sorry for those of you who lost, Oscar. sad
Very psychedelic ;-)

As to the footy... It is passing me by ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes you just have to "feel" it, Cherry. But if you don't, you just join the rest of the crowd. HA!

Even the US is getting into the World Cup!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, of course, Hollie. I was at the Hannover 2006 World Cup when Italy beat Ghana...but Ghana totally outplayed them. Italy just managed to get the ball into the net! I didn't watch the USA-Ghana game (midnight here our time) but I'm sure it was another good game!
Of course when our respective countries are winning, then we DO support football!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Very true, Suzanne. smile
I so adored how you spent your birthday and for it to be on a Friday! Love the orange and even love it more that your country won that game! So special!
Ginnie Hart: And a full moon, Robin. You could say I had it all. grin
