You are no longer in England...
Ginnie Hart: I'm just flying back-n-forth between images every day, Ray, that's all. smile
Oh if I must! Lovely shot, Ginnie - I love the tones!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Elizabeth. All good things must come to an end...before they can come back again? Enjoy you work day. Thanks.
You sure get to visit some great museums. That is a very nice shot.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, about the museums, Micahel. I'm really enjoying the ones I've seen thus far. Thank you.

Have you ever tried walking in clogs, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Lisl, I have tried, but it does take a certain knack. Astrid wore a pair of these to school for an entire year when she was 17, just to be "different." HA!

More Dutch cannot be - and I know such houten schoenen make you happy! I wish you a fine week! Een prachtig stilleven!
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Philine, more Dutch you cannot get! These wooden shoes are very soulful to me. smile

These were the ones that I wore to school when I was 17 years old. I painted them dark brown... of course my mom was NOT so amused, but what could she do grin.....
In my class, many students were 'different'.... wink
Wonderful still life and a good memory of the Museum.
Ginnie Hart: I bet you were the most "different" of them all, MLMA! I so wish I had known you back then. I can just picture the renegade you were. grin

I suppose these things were comfortable?
Ginnie Hart: So Astrid says, Chris. Your little sis surely knows!

If I made clogs Ginnie, then I am sure that everyone would get splinters.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHAHA! Only you, Chad. grin
I often wonder what it must be like to wear clogs, I suppose your feet do the moulding rather than the clog. Lovely image.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says once you get used to them, they're very comfortable, Scotia. I used to wear Dr. Scholl's sandals for years and had to get used to gripping my toes around the wood ridge, so yes, that makes sense!

Roll on Tuesday, I say wink The clogs set the location.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Alan. But let's get through Monday first. HA!
Ta photo pourrait avoir été faite en Bretagne où l'on trouve le même genre de sabots et de rouet. J'aime beaucoup ce museun
Ginnie Hart: I guess these clogs get around more than we realize, Marie! : You really WOULD love this open-air museum. So Dutch.

Ginnie Hart: HA! Okay, tomorrow, then. smile
Actually have to go and do some real work today! Love the picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: See, I must have known, Bill! smile Thanks. (I'm almost finished with the Hanbury Hall and Droitwich post....)
Lovely shot Ginnie........I think I'll delay that Monday start and enjoy some more pictures grin
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. i don't blame you one bit...especially since Astrid has Mondays free!
Don't remind me. I have a couple more hours before it all starts again.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, you have plenty of time, then, Mary. smile

The last phrase is in particular moving!
Ginnie Hart: So, I put this into my Bing Translator, Philine, and this is what it said:

10 proverbs and phrases ' clog '

that I have never hear on a lump of play. (= that's all too crazy.)
that will be my clog not rust. (= I am not worry about; I don't care.)
a farmer on clogs (= a twerp)
feel it on the wooden shoes (= post talk-That one had can know)
something with his clogs to feel (= something very clear. For example: "you can with your clogs to feel, that they accept him as an equal 'wink
with the clogs on the ice (= go somewhere where one careless itself doesn't belong)
with the ice clogs. (= not engage itself with something.)
now takes the biscuit. (= of surprise no longer know what to say)
who are clog breaks, shooting easy from his slipper. (= if you are disappointed, you can easily get angry.)
dropping off/put away his clogs. (= go home/die.)
This is a nice shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Frank.
We usually see them without straps. Are these a special type?

In addition to your signature treatment, Ginnie, the spinning wheel really adds to the charm of this little corner.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it IS a special type, Beverly, depending on the region where you live, according to Astrid. Thank you.
Nice Dutch still life with all mod cons (although I think there's usually a lizard or bug or two) smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! I haven't seen either a of those critters in my almost 5 years here, John...at least not inside the house. smile
All ready to go Ginnie! nice one!
Ginnie Hart: Ready to go, indeed, Ronky. Thanks.
It doesn't come any more Dutch than this, lovely shot Ginnie, ideal for a Dutch calendar.
Ginnie Hart: More Dutch you cannot get, indeed, Brian. smile Thanks.
Interesting to see straps on the shoes... I wondered how they stayed on...
Ginnie Hart: There are only certain areas that have the straps, Larry. Most clogs I see have none!

A fine image Ginnie. For some reason it makes me smile... maybe I was spinning in another lifetime. ; )
