Lovely collection of [mostly] roosters, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Mostly different but the same, Ray! smile Thanks.
Great pics and great blog about cats. My cat is slightly less than a Gentleman as he "screams" for his turkey snacks 4 to 5 times a day until you break down and get it for him. smile
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Hollie, and I'm sorry about the confusion. The cat post is Monday's post from Honey and not mine for today. The confusion is that the post doesn't switch to the next day until midnight EST in America (New York time). I hope it won't be asking too much to have you go back to now read MY post?? smile HA! But thanks anyway.
Chickens really are beautiful creatures. It is too bad that so many are imprisoned in tiny tiny cells for our selfish benefit.
Ginnie Hart: These chickens were at our nearby open-air museum in Arnhem, NL, Michael, most of which were roaming the huge complex. I'm not sure why the brown ones were inside a chicken fence but I'm sure there was a good reason.

Most of there roosters walked around freely with their hens. A great sight what made me smile often. Wonderful collage and I will come back later to read the post on V&V.
Ginnie Hart: I LOVED all the chickens everywhere, especially the roosters, MLMA. They clearly have a happy place to live there at the open-air museum in Arnhem.
Beautiful picks of the chicks! smile LOVE your V&V post today!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, dear Elizabeth.

This lot are different to us alright Ginnie but they look wonderful in their own ways
Ginnie Hart: All different and yet all the same. If only we could always see the beauty in our differences, Chris, right?

That is quite the box full of chickens and roosters that you collected today Ginnie... very colourful...
i will check out your V&V tonight... since it is late here in Canada grin ....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: This is at the open-air museum in Arnhem, NL, Peter, where these chickens and roosters roam freely. Thanks for being willing to check the V&V post later.

a wonderful collection of hens and cocks - an interesting theme which might personally touch me - I'll read later your V&V.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philione. I'll be most interested to hear what you think when you read my post later.
Some fine chickens and boy chickens Ginnie. I am not sure if you are allowed to say cock on shutterchance
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Well, rooster will do, Bill, I'm sure. (And I see you were able to get away with cock.)

A brilliant read Ginnie, I wish I had your ability with words. I think that struggling with 'the other' is a great challenge for us. There are many things that I don't understand, and know that I never will. The cross without Jesus is a reminder of the triumph, the cross with Jesus is a reminder of the sacrifice. Everyone gets to be right, I like that thought.
Ginnie Hart: Very well said, Chad. Do you mind if I add this as a comment to the V&V post? It is so perfect!
Wonderful collection you have got there Ginnie. I do like birds
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. Birds of a feather...different kinds but still, something to look at!
Yeah, feels like a country show!
I can only recognise Sussex breed though. I used to keep bantam chickens in Malaysia.
Ginnie Hart: I have a brother-in-law in Michigan, LC, who loves to grow all different kinds of chickens. I've seen some there that look very other-worldly! grin

Not just for beliefs, but for lack of them too!

I am just relieved I wasn't an atheist at the time of the Inquisition when those accused of apostasy were tortured or executed. Incredible that discrimination against atheists in the United States still occurs in legal, personal, social, and professional contexts.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Mike, you're so right. Some times for every step forward we take (especially in the USA), we take two step backwards...and not the other way around. It totally blows my mind! sad

Chickens are beautiful animals how your great photos show.
Sometimes I think the best part of the cock is the cocktail! ;-)
Ginnie Hart: LOL, HF. On some cocks, the tail feathers are definitely "the best part." smile

what fine feathered specimens!
Ginnie Hart: All different and yet the same, Sarah. I think we could learm from them!
I love chickens and hens and their roosters too if they are well behaved. Great pictures of them.
Ginnie Hart: My brother-in-law in Michigan raises as many different kinds of chickens as he possibly can, just because there's such a huge variety, Mary. They're fun, aren't they!

The chicken in the "prison" does not look too happy, does it? I'll have to re-read your V & V posting later; my brain is already about to explode today sad
Ginnie Hart: Don't know why that chicken was caged, Alan, while the others roamed around freely. Hmmm. Maybe it was a bad boy! But anyway, you don't need to let your brain explode over my post! smile

I love the collage, and you know I love the birds.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Ruth. I can't tell you how many times I've thought of Don and your Farm! smile
How awful it would be if we were all alike... great collage, especially the bottom right... smile
Ginnie Hart: It would be downright terrible, Larry! Thanks.
de très belles cocottes ,belle soirée

I don't follow a religious route at all but I ain't going to beat up anyone that does.
Ginnie Hart: Now, if only we could find a few more good men like you, Richard!
A nice portrait on the left
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, John.
You've captured some very good looking fowl here, Ginnie. It saddens me to think of the damage various religions have done to each other throughout the ages, all in the name of their God. Us vs Them, indeed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly. And yes, I know you "get" it.

Diversity!!
Ginnie Hart: Without it, what do we have?????
You caught quite a few nice specimens here Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: The open-air museum in Arnhem was a real treat for sore eyes, Richard. smile

A lovely set of pictures Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Anne.
You found quite a collection there Ginnie. I've had a quick read of your V.& V.but am running well behind time with lots to this evening so I will say that I found it very thoughtful, I might even print it off and show it to our (Baptist) Minister, I'm sure it would be interesting to hear his comments, he has a very broad mind on things religious.
Ginnie Hart: If you do show it to your pastor, Brian, I'll be most interested to hear his comment. Do you mind if I add this comment to the post? I think the ladies would get a kick out of you showing it to your pastor! smile
Very good collage! Amazing textures
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Oscar.
Superb presentation Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Scotia.
This photo is making me miss our chickens smile
Ginnie Hart: It makes me miss the chickens on my sister's farm in Michigan, Will. Gotta love these fine-feathered friends! smile Thanks.
