Funny, isn't it, Ginnie, how real orchid blooms seem more artificial than artificial ones...
Ginnie Hart: I know exactly what you mean, Ray! Indeed.
Beautiful image of this gorgeous bloom, Ginnie!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. This is just one of Astrid's many orchid plants, one of which is at least 20 years old. I'm so lucky to live with such a green thumb. smile

Astrid told me about her orchid Ginnie... it is a beauty... and you have captured every bit of it....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Astrid has 7 orchid plants on the windowsill, Peter, one of which is at least 20 years old. And all different colors! I'm the lucky one who gets to watch them grow, year after year. Thank you.

And to think the orchid and your image are there to see again and again and again, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I feel the same way, Lisl. Astrid has 7 orchid plants on the windowsill, one of which is over 20 years old. She really has a green thumb! smile

Don't you just love these fabulous creature from Mother Nature. I love you quote. I know what Ray means... this one is a real one smile
Wonderful light/shadows, beautiful colours.
It is always a treat to see the orchids getting in bloom and all in different colours, we have 7 in the windowsill.
Ginnie Hart: 7 orchid plants on the windowsill, one older than 20 years...and I'm the lucky one who gets to see them all year 'round! Thank you for your green thumb, MLMA.

Beautiful orchid Ginnie, I love this pure white.
And I agree with William Arthur Ward citation
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. Sometimes we forget the absolute truth of this quote. A good one to remember!

I knew this is one of Astrid's orchids - and a wonderful photo - a dream in white and ...
Ginnie Hart: It seemed so perfect for Easter, Philine...like the white lilies (which I haven't seen here in Dutchland this year). Bedankt.

A white orchid! Something I have never seen. Very impressed with both your photography and Astrid's green fingers!
Ginnie Hart: You're most kind, Mike. Thank you. I live with Astrid's green fingers every day and am the lucky recipient of her special hobby, which she loves. Astrid says white orchids are not rare in the Netherlands. (Hmmmm. I have a feeling nothing much is rare here!)

A lovely portrait Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
A perfect image Ginnie...I can feel the gentleness of the treatment here! love it!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ronky. It's befits Astrid's gentleness as she tends to her plants!
A lovely flower picture Ginnie. I think I will let Astrid loose on my garden in
May grin
Ginnie Hart: HA! Astrid and I both remember your garden, Bill. We will love seeing it again!
Beautiful image Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Roland.
These would look good on a table at the LoveShack.See Saturdays pic to know what I am on about Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Mick. Astrid would love to share this there, as long as they'd let us stay awhile. grin

These are such beautiful subjects aren't they. i like the sparkly-ness you have captured!
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch love their indoor orchids, Sarah. You see them on windowsills everywhere you go here. It has been one of my many surprises in this country I'm calling mine! Thank you.

Fantastic photograph of the decorative bloom Ginnie, Happy Easter to you.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir, and to you as well!
This is a stunning shot, Ginnie. We're both showing out house plant flowers today. I like how the little fingers point out for the bees - in this way, in this way.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Mary, we're both on the same page today. And I do like how you've said that about the bees! No bees inside our house but at least I get the drift! smile
One of my favourite flowers!
So exotic, reminded me of home! Ha ha...
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, LC. I can imagine. It's been one of my biggest surprises here in Dutchland...almost every home has at least one orchid plant on a windowsill. Seriously!

Well I thought happiness is a kind of job, but not the inside one grin Excellent picture and presentation of the orchid.
Ginnie Hart: I like the thought of the inside job, Louis. It makes it seem more personal. smile Thanks.
Beautiful orchid,nd a beautiful shot of it,Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Frank. I'm very proud of Astrid's green thumb. smile
Just gorgeous Ginnie, and a happy Easter Monday to you too
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Janet. I missed you!
It is indeed a really lovely orchid Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Brian. I'm very proud of Astrid. smile

Lovely picture, orchids give such long lasting pleasure.

Hope your Easter weekend was a good one
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne, and you're so right. The blossoms are like the energizer bunny, going on and on forever. smile

What a beauty this is; such glorious colour and markings.
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Alan.
A beauty, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Tom.
Superb capture of this beautiful orchid Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Richard. I'm very proud of Astrid's green thumb in growing it/them. smile
The background almost looks granular like snow on the right side, nice how it could melt into white.
Ginnie Hart: The background is actually the thin curtain in front of the window, John, which did seem to blend in quite nicely. I thought of snow, too. Thank you.
Exquisite!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael.
Great close-up. Fatastic.
Have a nice week.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Oscar, and the same to you.
Extra comment: I see you refer to Astrid's "green thumb", over here we call it having "green fingers" which Maureen has definitely got, perhaps she and Astrid should compare notes and growing tips on the 11th.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's funny how we have the slight difference in reference, Brian. I'm sure Astrid and Maureen could talk up a storm on the 11th. smile
I enjoyed both your saying and your lovely photo Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Jacquelyn.
