I love the treatment. Great idea to make the colors of the dresses pop!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Hollie. I find myself always attracted to such jewelry stands. smile
an interesting collection of assorted objects, very nicely presented
Ginnie Hart: You almost couldn't walk around the place, Ayush, for how packed it was.

I just read that they are jewelry stands.... never knew, that tells you how much jewelry I have......
Perfect choice of the selective colouring. It was a packed place, so much to see. Great shot.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, MLMA, jewelry stands, indeed. I see them often when we're out-n-about and often have to capture them. The day we will need one will be the day. HA! Thanks. It was a delightful place where we both were short of eyes.
Well you won't find anything like that in my town. Very cool shot.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes you just happen upon such a place, Michael, and see it as a photographer's heaven!

Oh, another perfect selective colouring! I'm afraid that no dress would fit me - maybe, I ate too many Eastern eggs in my life - but these fine eggs are only a joy for the eyes and don't make fat!
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, dear Philine. We can always look and not gain an ounce, can't we. smile

An intriguing image Ginnie: are these designed to hang real clothes on?
Ginnie Hart: They're actually jewelry stands, Chris. I've never had one in my life but you see them from time to time on some women's dressers. I find them to be such willing models for my camera whenever I see them. smile

Elles sont ravissantes ces petites robes colorées qui évoquent un peu les années 1950-1960. Beau travail de désaturation
Ginnie Hart: Merci, dear Marie. For some reason I find I'm always attracted to these jewelry stands, even though I would never buy one for myself. smile
I bet our Kathryn would like these !!
Ginnie Hart: I bet she would, too, Bill. smile

Fine combination of b/w and color; I like your way making such combinations.

Shame, they look quite pretty, too. Interesting to see these are jewellery stands as some seem to have nowhere to hang things; perhaps for people with no jewellery?
Ginnie Hart: Some have "arms" for hanging, Alan, and others have head-pieces for hanging. Take your pick. I never owned of of these but I find myself always attracted to them for the camera. smile

You've dressed them up well, with your treatment Ginnie! A lovely shot smile

Ginnie Hart: So sorry about the rain, JP. We had a lot of it in Germany over the weekend. But the sun will always come out "tomorrow." smile
Ha ha... You can always come to my mad hatter's tea party!
Pick the blue dress. wink
Ginnie Hart: You invite me and I'll come, LC! smile How fun.
Oh my goodness, Ginnie, I could spend hours rummaging around in this antique shop. So many items to examine. I can see why you were drawn to these delightful jewelry stands; so colourful and each one is different from the others.

Contrary to how many shop owners feel around here, it appears that the owner of this establishment didn't object to your taking pictures of the merchandise. Did you have to first ask permission?
Ginnie Hart: This waws quite an amzing "complex" of inside and outside antiques, Beverly, owned by a man who had taken it over from his father. If you click on this link and go down to the 4th and 5th collages, you'll see more. And he even had rare pigeons in the courtyard. He seemed to be fine with our taking pictures. smile

I thought from the thumbnail it was an image of a load of women on hangman's nooses, but breathed a sigh of relief once I saw the whole picture. What a great find good colour popping, and I like those Faberge style eggs in the little stands at the front.
Ginnie Hart: Isn't it fun when we get to see the bigger picture on just about everything, Brian! smile Thank you.
I love the treatment of this imasge Ginnie..the Mannequins shone through
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ronky. I find myself always attracted to these jewelry stands for some reason. grin
Love the angle of capturing the photo with the background too. These are adorable and it looks like reasonable price! Cute!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Robin. I don't remember seeing these in America but I'm sure they're everywhere, and for some reason I'm always attracted to them. HA!

I would love it if all the dressed up lamp stands would all begin turning Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Chad. You'd be mesmerized. smile
Not bad for the price ....i like the red one
Ginnie Hart: It seemed a good price to me, too, Shane. smile
Looks good, Ginnie,great treatment.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. I'm glad you finally woke up. I hope that means you also finally got some sleep?! smile
What a wonderful assortment Ginnie!

Oh man, Ginnie. This is so funny that you would post this. I have one of these …. but I didn't even know it until I was cleaning up YESTERDAY inside the house. And I love them! They are so cute …. the only problem I have with mine is that it's too tall for my book shelf.
Ginnie Hart: So, there really is someone who actually has one of these! HA! I love it, Emily. And yes, how ironic that you just found yours the other day. smile I think you should give it a good home where it fits and is the center of attention. smile
