I would be the guy riding backwards.
Ginnie Hart: It would be one way to look at the year now leaving us, Michael. grin

They did a great job decorating the caves for the Christmas market. Great scene.
Also the caves make a great hiding place. 400km (248 miles) to 500km (310 miles) long corridors.
Ginnie Hart: If you were the enemy, you would NOT want to enter, that's for sure! Bedankt, MLMA.
I love this! They are so cute - and your image makes them look like they could be hiding...
Interesting info on the Resistance - I'd no idea! It figures the Americans had a reputation for being noisy...
Ginnie Hart: I don't suppose the soldiers were as happy-go-lucky as these fellas, Elizabeth, but I'm sure the caves gave them some sense of safety? Thanks.

Very Christmassy Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure it was easy to feel safe inside the caves, Chris. Thanks.

that bottom lighting and the backwards one make it all look a bit scary lol.. or maybe that's just me smile soon it will be 2014, the dawning of the age of aquarius tongue
Ginnie Hart: You'd definitely want light down there, Elaine, or it'd really be scary. But lots of Christmas cheer is everywhere, still. smile And as you know, we're already in the Age of Aquarius. YAY.

Love the look on the cow's face; resigned to carry 3 madmen smile I wonder what became of those soldiers?
Ginnie Hart: 3 madmen, indeed, Alan. I'd love to learn more about this part of WWII. I wonder if there's a movie that shows anything about these caves during the war?
I reckon those three are on illegal substances Ginnie grin
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure, Bill, since their Christmas work is now done and over with! grin

Now that all Santa's work is done these three happy elves are heading to a New Years Party.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right, Mary! smile

Haha- the tree magicians on their way to the manger of Bethlehem? Wonderful image! Astrid is right - the next year I should visit this Christmas market, too.
Ginnie Hart: You'd love this market, Philine, because it's different from any you've ever seen. Totally worth the experience. We might go back one day to see the caves without the Christmas market. Bedankt.
Cool shot Ginnie, nice day to you!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Roland. Merci.

I didn't know about these caves. Wow, what an eerie shot for me, especially in the context. These elves go from cute to strategic!
Ginnie Hart: You can see a lot more about these caves, Ruth, at In Soul. We had a wonderful visit there a month ago, just when the Christmas market opened:

Funny shot. Lovely light also
Ginnie Hart: It does have its humor, Marie, in spite of the war context on the cave walls. Merci.

We all need a hiding place between Christmas and New Year, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, we do, Lisl! I hope you and Michael are able to be safe and warm and well-hid!
This wonderful cave market has certainly provided you with a wealth of unique objects to photograph, Ginnie. This one is particularly so. Love the light and shadows!
Ginnie Hart: It was such a great experience, Beverly. Totally unique. I'm glad I was able to share bits of it. smile Thanks.
cute image Ginnie...and colourful too!
Ginnie Hart: It was fun, Ronky. Thanks.
Are they on the way home from the "After presents delivery" party?
Ginnie Hart: Maybe so, Brian. Good thought. smile
I think the health and safety boys would have something to say about this!
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure of it, Tom, but we'd say ""Get over it!" grin
I like the guy looking sideways...
Ginnie Hart: I little bit of humor before the New Year, Larry, doesn't hurt anyone. smile
This cow (?) is like "WTF"?
The elf at the back is like "come on, you'll enjoy it"! Ha ha! grin
Ginnie Hart: It's hard to keep a straight face, LC, isn't it. grin
Merry Christmas!!!
Ginnie Hart: And the same to you and yours, Dennis. Now, Happy New Year! (I tried to get to your blog but it wasn't available???)
This is a joyful image to decorate the caves Ginnie... i know that there were a also lot of Canadian forces in Holland during WWII....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Memories of the War fade into the background during the Christmas markets, Peter, for sure. And yes, I'm sure there were also lots of Canadians here as well.... (sigh)

No wonder the animal looks a bit bemused by it all, happy fun image
Ginnie Hart: I know, Anne. It's always good when we can make fun and laughter with War far in the background, don't you think!
that looks so lively and nice smile
Ginnie Hart: Lots of holiday cheer in the caves, Joshi. smile Thanks.
