Your selective coloring works beautifully once again!
Thank you, Ginnie... and to you also!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Of course, the Dutch don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day (the American holiday I miss the most!). But we will have our own celebration over the weekend for other reasons....which you'll discover on Friday. smile

This brings back a very enjoyable time with Robin in Dumbo...
The one Holiday we don't have, Thanksgiving Day and I know you miss this one, the most.
Wonderful selective colouring.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, MLMA, this is the holiday I do miss the most...but this year we will have our own special celebration and somehow that makes up for it. Hartstikke bedankt.

And may yours too Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
Looks like a Halloween leftover. Those are some nice bottles.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Michael, this image was taken in NYC in early October...so you're not far off the mark: pre-Halloween. But I liked the pumpkins!

What for a nice expression (" run over with ...") - I wish you also a funny, lovely day at home - my American friend will come to visit me - no Thanksgiving, but surely Joy and Laughter ... -a very fine composition and treatment!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Philine...a reference to Psalm 23:5. As you know, this is the one American holiday I miss the most...but Astrid and I will celebrate over the weekend in the Valkenburg caves for the Christmas Market, which will more than make up for it! Thank you and enjoy your American friend.

I used to have a couple of dozen of these bottles, which I used for home-made ginger-beer, Ginnie...you brought back a fond memory.
Ginnie Hart: Ginger beer! Now you're talking, Ray. I LOVE ginger beer. Thanks for sharing the memory!
If you drank that lot you wouldn't remember whether it did or not
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, actually, Bill, they're all filled with water and were served to each table when clients arrived. Fun. smile
Beautiful photo and a good idea with this selective colouring.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Wolfgang.

I think I am right that this celebrates the discovery of America. They chose a bad time to arrive, just before winter Ginnie, but then I suppose they were not sure when they might arrive.
Ginnie Hart: Better late than never, Chad???? Hmmm. I wonder. smile Thanks for the smile.

Thank you, and the same to you. I know you miss being here for this special holiday and was thinking about that yesterday. And we miss you.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Ruth. It's the hardest one to miss...but we will celebrate something very special over the weekend! smile Thank you. I'll be thinking of y'all tomorrow. Please take pictures!
With all those bottles it will be a sore head in the morning.
Ginnie Hart: But, but...it's only water, Mick! grin Thank you anyway.

Wooooooooooow
Beautiful
Great lighting, colors, shapes of these bottles
Nice mood
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Helys. It feels like "plenty," doesn't it!
Great effect with the b&w outside, it really makes for a great shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Pauline.
Very nice shot Ginnie. This reminds me of the kala khatta stalls in Mumbai. I'd love to see a shot of just the bottles
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Navin. You with your bottles!!! grin Yes, I can picture that....
aaaww so sweet of you Ginnie...love the effects of this image
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a lot, Ronky.

I was the US once for Thanksgiving; it's amazing just how quiet restaurants are in the evening. I guess everyone is celebrating at home. I would mind a glass of two of something from one of these bottles.
Ginnie Hart: Thanksgiving is definitely the time when families get together more than any other time of the year in America, Alan, which is why it's hard for me not to be there. No gift-giving...just BEING together. Oh, and football! smile

These bottles only have water in them...but it reminds me of all the places in the world right now that'd give anything for them!
Nice...

I miss being a part of the Thanksgiving celebrations in the USA
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Preyi. This is when I really miss being in my other home!
They've even still got the pumpkins for Halloween as well I see. Enjoy tomorrow even if can't be across the pond for real.
Ginnie Hart: This was taken in early October, Brian, before Halloween in NYC. But I decided the pumpkins were still "valid" for Thanksgiving! smile Thanks.

:-( Those bottles seem to be empty. So how are you going to celebrate?
Ginnie Hart: The bottles are actually full of water, Louis...and were put on each table as clients came int to eat. Very clever, I thought. No Thanksgiving celebration here but we are taking a short trip on Friday and Saturday for the Valkenburg Christmas Market...in the caves. Really looking forward to it!
On the threshold of two worlds smile
Ginnie Hart: I like that, John. Thanks.
I am sure that you miss the Thanksgiving holiday back home Ginnie... but your cup still rennet over with Joy, Love and Laughter smile
We had our Thanksgiving in October.. i like to watch all of the football on turkey day down southgrin....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: My cup does indeed runneth over, Peter, in spite of the fact that I miss my family this particular holiday! I also miss the football. HA!
A lovely picture to celebrate this very special day Ginnie! Enjoy it.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard.
Looks as though some people's glasses are going to be running over!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Tom! smile

The selective colour really sets of the scene
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Aussie. You know me and selective coloring. smile
Is it a big thing in the NE? wink
Celebrate it with a new twist this year.
How about roast herring? wink
Ginnie Hart: No, LC. It's not celebrated here in the Netherlands, which is why I miss it so much. But we will do something special over Friday and Saturday...which will make up for it! smile

Roast herring??? HA! That will be the day! grin

I love the way you have captured the light on those bottles smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Cherry.
It's happening inside where the colour gives warmth. (Of course in Canada we had it in October.)
Ginnie Hart: I love colors like this that give warmth, Jacquelyn. Thanks. (You're ahead of America on lots of things, btw!)
Bicycles! I see bicycles!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Larry. Bicycles in NYC!
Nice use of colour and I love that light. It is perfect inside and out.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Michael. Thank you.
A nice image. I especially like the small points of light in the bottles (olive oil?)
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Wim. Actually, all the bottles are filled with water and are set on the tables as clients come in. A nice toch.
nice shot Ginnie. what is in those bottles anyway?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. Those are water bottles for the tables as clients come in to eat. smile

Belated best wishes Ginnie... and it looks a lovely place to take a break -especially if one has a thirst!
Ginnie Hart: You're never too late, George, so thank you. A bottle of water for every table as clients come in! A nice touch. smile
