Great shot. Those toys do great work...
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Larry. Canon does a great job with all its PowerShots. smile
Great shot Ginnie! Your "toy" is doing a great job! He seems to be taking care of himself just fine!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. I'm LOVING this new toy...and am still finding out what it can do.
amazing clarity at that range! great shot
Ginnie Hart: I thought so, too, Ayush. Thanks.
There aren't that many of us who remember Hopalong Cassidy Ginnie... but the title sure fits the shot...
we got to PLAY in the snow yesterday....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: LOL about Hopalong Cassidy. I always loved his name, Peter. grin SNOW? But then, I guess you'd expect it there about now.

Haha, an acrobatic gull - what might she think about all the two- legged beings or three-legged ones well equipped with an tripod?
Ginnie Hart: HA! I should have titled this Monopod! grin

So lovely
Wonderful shape, white color, lighting, angle, frame
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Helys. Merci.
I don't know. You get a fine new toy and then take a picture of a one legged gull!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! What can I say, Bill. Sometimes it's just fun to play around. grin

this is a great shot

It's not fun having your leg pulled (off)
Ginnie Hart: It obviously would bother us more than him, Richard. smile

"Oi! Hop it!" Now how do they manage to stand on one leg - and I bet it can do it with its eyes closed, too smile Crikey - just noticed over a 1000m! I remember Hopalong Cassidy.
Ginnie Hart: It looks so easy-peasy, Alan, doesn't it! And, yes, crikey. This focal length blows my mind!
He he... Your new toy ain't that dinky at all, I see.
Is this what we call "small but powerful"? Ha ha grin

Have a great weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Small and powerful, indeed, LC. Gotta watch out for them/us! grin You have a great weekend, too.
Lovely shot, Ginnie. really crisp and clear. Did he only have one leg, or was he just resting the other one?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Pauline. Your question is as good as mine. Since birds can and do do this, I assume he's just resting the other one...or showing off?

I had a shot last week entitled Balance. This shot would be perfect for the title too.

The only thing this version of the camera is lacking is Supermacro which it's predecessors had. It is a great camera in all respects.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Mary, I've been trying out the macro side of this camera (need more playing around) and so far I'm impressed with it, too! It's really a fun all-around toy!

Great image at that focal length. Very crisp composition and great light. Feel sorry for the seagull though, unless the leg is hidden mid-stride...Although it would have to be goose stepping if that was the case...and maybe a seagull would just be too proud for that!!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well said, Tony! And yes, I'm quite pleased by how this "toy" is functioning at that focal length! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
The one legged pirate trying to remember where the treasure trove is buried.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right, John. smile
PLAY is the word! A wonderful weekend planned with two incredible artists from Australia staying with us! (Both musicians on tour here in the U.S.) Man you found the most perfect camera! Love! xo
Ginnie Hart: Play your heart out, Robin, like only you can do! Enjoy your artist friends from Australia. Gotta love this little toy camera, I know! smile
Perfectly captured at that range Ginnie. A great piece of kit isn't it. Have a great weekend too
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. It's been a charm!
Great capture with the shadow Ginnie! Enjoy the weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard. Merci.
perfect smile
Ginnie Hart: Very kind of you, Joshi. Thanks.
I used to like Hopalong Cassidy at Saturday Matinees at the cinema when I was a kid, he didn't look anything like this smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! We're dating ourselves, Brian, but I won't tell if you don't! smile
Perfect title for this little chap. Nice shadow too.
Ginnie Hart: I wish I had titled this The Monopod, Jacquelyn, but I wasn't fast enough on my feet. HA! But thanks anyway.
Or Long John Silver!
Ginnie Hart: That's a good one, Michael. smile

You certainly are creating great advertising for Canon with your new PowerShot, Ginnie. The images you are getting are incredible.
