Amazing colours in this leaf. A very good 'after' Halloween picture. Wonderful close-up, love the drops of water.
A three day weekend is coming up smile....
Ginnie Hart: Hartsikke bedankt, MLMA. I love the treats of Mother Nature! And yes, today starts the rest of your working life in a "stable" work environment! YAY.
the splash of red against the pale leaf blade, especially along the veins, is highly attractive.
Ginnie Hart: That was definitely the attraction for me, Ayush! Thanks.

What a gorgeous leaf, Ginnie - did it come just like that?! I rather like Spider Solitaire, too
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Lisl, and, yes! That's exactly what it looked like...which is what caught my eye! I'm having great fun with Spider Solitaire on my new iPad. It's addicting. smile

An unmistakable shape Ginnie. This is nicely in focus and the droplets of water add charm. I am also fascinated by the pattern all over this leaf.
Ginnie Hart: I've always called these elephant ears, Chad, but I liked the spider idea better. HA! Thanks.

Oh, what a wonderful leaf I never saw before! I like your creative title!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philine. We call this an "elephant ear" plant. smile

Very lovely, Boots. Enjoy your 3-day weekend with Astrid. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sister. It still hasn't hit us that Astrid starts a new 4-day/week work schedule. Still pinching ourselves! smile
That is some leaf Ginnie. James Herbert could use for the cover of a novel!
Ginnie Hart: We call it an "elephant ear" plant in America, Bill. I wonder what you call it in England?
That is superb, Ginnie. Such a beautiful contrast of colour.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Pauline. The veins seemed so "rich"when I saw them...no special tricks for this at all.
Oh! Caladiums are extremely popular in Malaysia.
It's very easy to propagate and cross breed them too.
Ginnie Hart: You've got the proper name for them, LC. In America we call them elephant ears: https://www.google.nl/search?q=elephant+ears+plants&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=ZGtzUrPSKqbB0QXT04HICg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1680&bih=837

I have one of these leaves pressed in the pages of a Whole Earth Catalogue. It is that huge. This is a beauty.
Ginnie Hart: It's definitely HUGE, Mary, that's for sure. Thanks.
It almost looks as if the rain has wet the colour in the red veins and it is now leaking onto the surrounding area, Ginnie. A marvelous image of this large leaf!
Ginnie Hart: A bleeding heart, then, Beverly? smile I love it. Thanks.
That's a beautiful pattern and I like your close up, with all the detailed veins! Have a great weekend Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Fine macro, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Tom.
