Political Suicide

Not even the angels have a clue what's happening!

(This is in reference to the American government shut-down yesterday!)

Excellent!

Politicians behaving badly...
Ginnie Hart: It makes me sick to my stomach, Ray! sad
The asses are running the farm. (Apologies to asses.)
Ginnie Hart: I think NO ONE is running the country, Michael...though trying! sad
Political Suicide is the perfect title for this mess Ginnie...

i feel sorry for the angel....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: I feel sorry for a lot of people right now, Peter, most of whom are NOT in the government! UGH.
Ginnie Hart: It makes me sick to my stomach, Michael. All of it!
Definitely an eerie feeling with this shot Ginnie. Powerful capture.
Ginnie Hart: Appropriate for October, then, John, right?! smile Thanks.
great shot. i like the green grass and the barren backdrop
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. This was back at the beginning of April when it was still winter in Budapest.

A very appropriate capture for the situation in the USA.
I hope they find back their heads very soon.......
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Astrid. The timing of our visit back there is maybe not the best in the world, but we'll make the best out of it, regardless! Maybe we can take our baseball bats and knock some more heads off?

To those of a UK disposition it is impossible to fathom the way they do things politically in the USA Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I have never seen the likes of it in my 68 years, Chris. This is NOT what I grew up seeing in my day! It makes me sick to my stomach.

A la tristesse du lieu
celle d'un ange étêté
comment ne pas penser
à la colère de Dieu ...

Belle photo Ginnie
amitiés Emma
Ginnie Hart: The wrath of the people would decapitate all the politicians in America right now, Emma!!!
Fascinating image, Ginnie - Well captured! And yes... apt.
Ginnie Hart: (sigh) Thanks, Elizabeth. What a time for Frank to be there....!

A fascinating angel - memorial -statue! I like the red rose at the feet!
Yes, my sympathy with the States, and I understand well that you are feeling so bad - but I think there is still any hope? The whole world will be suffering from this shut-down!
Ginnie Hart: I just sit here and shake my head, Philine. It's just so unbelievable to me! (sigh)
Bilderberg is running Ginnie, of course!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, dear me, JC. I just Googled it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_Group
J'aime ces cimetières tout simples et sans prétention et pierres tombales souvent laides. Ici c'est vraiment joli
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. Suddenly it felt very appropriate for what's happening in America right now!
You have the republicans we have the Tories AND Ukip!
Ginnie Hart: (sigh)
Headless chickens springs to mind Ginnie,Can't believe what's going on .
Ginnie Hart: It's sickening, Mick!!!

A bit of a head ache for someone
Ginnie Hart: In this case, Richard, for thousands/millions! sad
I'm not following the politics, but I like the symbolism of your shot, Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: It's probably best you don't look, Martin. It will only make you sick! But thanks anyway!

Maybe we'd be better off without our heads too. Being mindful of the situation has done none of us any good, I'm afraid. sad

What a fascinating spot with grave markers piled up in a corner!
Ginnie Hart: (sigh) This probably isn't the best time for us to be making a trip to America, Ruth, I'm afraid! sad

This is a most fascinating cemetery, indeed. We spent a lot of time there and learned a lot about Hungary!

I like your wonderful picture a whole lot more than the political situation. I was trying to explaining why the Americans don't want ObamaCare. That is what makes me sick!
Ginnie Hart: You're kind about the image, Mary, so thank you. But the rest is just nauseating!

So sorry for this angel
So much people poor in the world, so much problems
but...
Hope, Love and Peace are yet there
Ginnie Hart: There is always hope, Helys. Always. Thank you.
Perfect illustration! ARGH!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Robin, ARGH, indeed!

It seems a strange system where this can happen, a very negative form of politics.
Ginnie Hart: Don't even get me started, Chad....!

Obviously laughed her head off at some very funny joke. Those idiots on Capital Hill better get their act sorted as I understand that the national parks are closed, too. They have five days to see sense - OR ELSE!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Alan. We leave for NYC on Saturday for 5 days, then Atlanta. OR ELSE!
Our sympathies go out to the majority of sane Americans who have to live in this current divisive political climate. We, on the outside, can only wonder at how one of the greatest countries of the world can be hijacked by a bunch of do-nothing politicians.

You've posted an image today, Ginnie, that illustrates the situation most appropriately.
Ginnie Hart: It sickens me and breaks my heart both, Beverly. I've never seen anything like it in all my 68 years!!!

You probably know the expression "Cut your nose to spite your face". It came to my mind when I heard about the shambles on Capitol Hill.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Louis. It's shameful!
this is... disturbing. smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it is, Faisal!!!
Shame the Angels lost her head, which also seems to refer to your homelands politicians as well. I don't know much about the Obamacare proposals but I bet at the end of the line while the average person might be a bit better off, somebody else is going to be losing a lot of money.
Ginnie Hart: The whole thing is a fiasco, Brian...except for Obamacare, which, in my estimation, is a no-brainer!
Excellent indeed Ginnie! Politicians are politicians only aren't they?
Ginnie Hart: Sigh. They seem to be getting worse the longer I live, Richard!

It all looks rather haphazard - but compared to what is going on in the USA ....
Ginnie Hart: Good point, Anne! sad
Political suicide indeed! It's time the US ditched its presidential system and got itself a proper parliament smile
Ginnie Hart: That might be the solution, Tom, but I doubt it will ever happen?! (sigh) There has been talk about a third, Independent party for years...but not sure even that will ever happen!

Perhaps, due to the inane and petulance of their behaviour - she laughed her head off!
Ginnie Hart: I bet she's crying by now, Brian??? (sigh)
Halloween has arrived a bit too early this year!

Don't you worry, National Security is still open as usual. I'm sure they will catch these headless demons wandering in your local park. ;p
Ginnie Hart: Even though we fly ro America tomorrow, LC, I'm not really worried we'll be affected much at all...but it still makes me sick to my stomach!

We're all a bit clueless as to what is in the minds of our politicians who act like adult children. Exemptions for some, mandates for others; who's running the show - lobbyists?
Ginnie Hart: As I've said, Rob, it makes me sick to my stomach! (sigh)

good post for that day.. grin politicians are all the same.. *sigh*
Ginnie Hart: It still makes me sick, Rian!!!
So appropriate!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Jacquelyn. I agree, sadly....
oh what a shame!
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Sarah. Everything, including the American shutdown!!!

Saw a great interview with Jesse Ventura on CNN a copuple of nights ago. There's a man with the right ideas when he says "abolish political parties" - they engender a strong sense of misplaced tribal loyalties.

My thought was I've heard of headless chickens - never angels!
Ginnie Hart: I probably saw that same interview, George. Jesse would make a good Independent if we were able to go to 3 parties. He seems to have his head screwed on right. He definitely speaks his mind!

Hi Ginnie, hope you and Astrid are enjoying your stay in the old US of A.

A sound thinker is Jesse, but he (and I) were suggesting that ALL, repeat ALL, political parties should be abolished...everywhere.

Another party would just offer another group of politicians, with another set of half-baked self-interested loyalties, that have little relevance to "ordinary" folk.
Ginnie Hart: Well, yes, George. We could call that sense and sensibility, right?!
