photoblog image Happy Monday!

Happy Monday!

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Its a fine graphic, Ginnie...perhaps it started life as a stencil?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ray, and yes...a stencil does come to mind!
Your graffiti is a whole lot more artistic than ours wink
Ginnie Hart: It does have its finesse, Will. smile

Beautiful graffiti, very clever done with the minimum of lines. The colours are great.
A Happy Monday it is smile
Ginnie Hart: How can you not be happy when you see something like this! Bedankt, MLMA.
This is wonderful graffiti Ginnie... i would prefer to call this one street art... i love that songsmile....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Street art it is, Peter. I totally concur! Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ayush.

I'll be singing that all day, now, Ginnie. I do like your treatment here
Ginnie Hart: I'll be singing with you, Lisl. smile Thanks.
Quality graffiti Ginnie. The song will be in my brain all day!
Ginnie Hart: Street art is more like it, Bill. And yes, I'll be singing all day, too!
Good bit of art and the song , rain coming in later.
Ginnie Hart: I love street art like this, Mick. Enjoy the sun while you have it.
Great art, love all the colours.
What's the significance of the mouse I wonder ?
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. Interestingly, Astrid also thought that was a mouse...and I thought it wss just the outline of his other sleeve. However, you both may be right, in which case I have no clue!

First I thought: your selective colouring - is the graffito- man praying? - yes, Dublin is bursting out in an abundance of colours, and photographers must be short of eyes!
An encouraging poem to start the week! Een goede week ook jullie toegewenst - ik gaa naar Hoorn op donderdag - de verse lucht mocht goed zijn voor mijn hust.
Ginnie Hart: I'd love to know more about this man, Philine...and especially if he is in fact holding a mouse, as LAstrid and Martin both think?

Enjoy your trip to Hoorn...one of our favorite cities, as you know. smile

What an incredible piece of art (not often a word I would when talking about graffiti.)
Ginnie Hart: I can see you appreciate good art, Alan! smile I thought it was incredible, too.

... Good lyrics too on the song.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed! smile
I love how you've caught the light on this fine picture Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sally. It did feel magical that day.

Oh no he is squeezing ratty.
Ginnie Hart: You're the 3rd person who thinks he's holding a mouse, Chad. Hmmm. Now I'm wondering what THAT'S about! smile

Oh yes, squeezing or warming up Ratty!
Ginnie Hart: Hmmm. I wonder if that really is a rat/mouse???! smile

Love the bright sunshine in his face. I like it in mine too. We have had mid twenty weather for the weekend and I believe it is continuing. A Sun-Shiny day!
Ginnie Hart: We've had lots of sun, too, Mary, but it's been quite chilly, around 10-15C. My kind of weather. smile
Nicely presented Ginnie! Street art is a whole new world to explore smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Martin. And Dublin is the perfect place to find it!

I wonder if he is "someone." And what the shadow lines are from? Beautiful colors and light.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Ruth. I'd love to know more about him. Guess I'll have to go back! smile Thank you.
I can see his bowler, but hey where's his brolly?!
That's not British enough...
He he... Correct me, it's Paddy Irish not Johnny English.

Paddy taking the Mickey (hence, the mouse) out of Johnny. Got it? :p
Ginnie Hart: You are just way out of control, LC. HAHAHA!

The next time you are in Dublin you should take part in this tour:
"The Dublin Street Art Walking Tour & Graffiti Workshop is a walking tour through Dublin, Ireland taking in the cities magnificent graffiti and street art all along the way. The event ends with a live performance from a local graffiti artist and allows those attending the tour to create their own pieces with the supervision from the guide. The tour starts in Temple Bar, the heart of Dublin City and ends The Bernard Shaw for the graffiti workshop."
Ginnie Hart: Oh, WOW, Philine. And Temple Bar was where I stayed those 3 days. Astrid and I would LOVE this!
Chad, I suppose!
Ginnie Hart: Such things are left to speculation, JC. smile

Blue Monday, Black Monday, Boat Friday, Rainy Friday and now Happy Monday. When will it end?

Great shot.
Ginnie Hart: It will never end, Louis, trust me! grin Thanks.
I think it may be the way he is holding his hands together like that, Ginnie, that makes it look as if there may be something in them. A great piece of street art, indeed!
Ginnie Hart: I agree, Beverly, and don't think he's holding anything (there's a tell-tale sign that I'm sure you noticed, too, by his pinky fingers). Regardless, I sure would love to hear the story behind him! smile

A very vibrant piece of graffiti
Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Anne, isn't it! smile Thanks.
That is so different than the normal technicolor sort of graffiti one normally sees.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Brian. It's fun!

Beaucoup de poésie dans ce dessin Ginnie. J'aime beaucoup
Ginnie Hart: Poetry is a good word for this, Marie. smile Merci.
If there is art like this about it must be a cheerful looking neighbourhood. It's been a bit damp and dismal here today and I have been happily busy
Ginnie Hart: How could you not smile! Thanks, Janet.
This is a stunner Ginnie! Well done.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sarah, and you could be right. smile
Perfect! Now I'm going to have that song in my head for HOURS! smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, think of the alternative, Robin. grin Welcome back.

Happy week for you.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Oscar. Thank you.
That really is a beauty. I wish we had graffiti like that around here.
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Michael. We don't get much of it here either.

Great shot of some delightful street art...happy Munday!
Ginnie Hart: Happy Munday. Great play on words, George! smile Thanks.
Seems to portray a de-frocked priest!
Ginnie Hart: A priest turned mime! Not a bad sermon, Tom.
