Ginnie Hart: Just about, Ray! grin

Ginnie Hart: The window was very "strong," Ayush, so I had to do something. HA! Thanks.

You have caught the Gutteridge style very well Ginnie. Poor old Oscar: he was born in the wrong century..
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Chris. Maybe it was Chad who was born in the wrong century???

Only Oscar Wilde could say these words, but he could be right and he had some real experiences to find these words, only instead of the word 'some' he should say 'many of us'!
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Philine. Don't you wonder what Oscar would think of all us Shutterchancers?! grin
Interesting thought by Oscar Wilde. Great finding.

Happy week-end!
Ginnie Hart: Gotta pay attention to those poets, Sartenada, right?! smile Thanks.

Interesting quote, interesting treatment, altogether a nice wake-up for Friday
Ginnie Hart: Ireland is so in-your-face with their bold colors, Lisl, as you know. Just had to do it. smile Thanks.

The camera, you know, will never capture you. Photography, in my experience, has the miraculous power of transferring wine into water. - Oscar Wilde - in "Lillie" - Hear, hear!
Ginnie Hart: Oscar and more Oscar.

The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. - Oscar Wilde

This phrase should encourage the photographers of all sorts!
Ginnie Hart: So true. So true. I guess we all need to get out our Oscar Wilde books. HA!

One of my favorite writers, Boots. I love this composition.

It's like another simple thinker said, "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." ― Henry David Thoreau

smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Ruth. Yes, indeed. smile Thanks.
Oscar Wilde, a hero of mine. Well caught, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Pauline.

The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. - Oscar Wilde

In my view the best photos are those which can give a slight vision of the invisible!
Ginnie Hart: So true. So true.
I like the bold framing and great content - what a good find, Ginnie! smile
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Martin. I LOVE Ireland! smile

Ginnie Hart: Iyt does make you wonder what Oscar was thinking, Mary. smile And, uh, that would be very ORANGE on my screen. HA! Well, orange-red, I guess?

Special people on a special island.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Louis!
I think Philine must have her book of Oscar Wilde quotes out today. Your frame really fits in well with this.
Ginnie Hart: Philine was definitely on a roll, Brian. Thank you.
I guess Wilde must have a thing about shooting starts? Or perhaps the Milky Way? :p
Ginnie Hart: The Milky Way works, too, LC. smile

That should have been captured.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, of course. As I often say to Astrid, I know your English. smile
Very nicely presented Ginnie. A profound observation from Mr Wilde
Ginnie Hart: Yes, ma'am! Thanks, Janet.
Such a vibrant red, great find.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Will. In real life it's actual very orange. smile
A great writer. I directed The Importance of Being Earnest a few years ago. Amazing writing.
Ginnie Hart: Something for everyone, then, Michael!
An excellent reminder Ginnie! Great photo - love the frame! My friends brother's home was mostly destroyed by the recent Colorado floods. When they went back to salvage what they could, he snapped a photo of his wife holding a plaque that said "There is always always always something to be thankful for". Amen.
Ginnie Hart: WOW! What a story, Elizabeth. Thanks for sharing it!
intéressante composition sur ces détails
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Angevine.

Great shot Ginnie, and delighted that you enjoyed your visit to the auld sod!

Wilde also had a very apt quote for professional photographers...
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes."
Ginnie Hart: I would love to go back with Astrid one day, George, and spend LOTS of time there...and even meet you! smile
Have to send this to my oldest son. He loves Oscar Wilde (I just found a book of Wilde's published in 1896 and is in great shape - poetry, tales, etc. $5 !! smile
Ginnie Hart: It´s fun, Margaret, isn´t it. And what a great buy!!!
