Hello, World

Wake up.  It's Monday!

(Looking at Budapest's Parliament from the Fisherman's Bastion,

which I wish I had centered in the arch better!)

A difficult shot that you have made full of interest, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You're most kind, Ray. Thanks.
Sounds like the fishermen weere militaristic...
Ginnie Hart: And perhaps rightly so, Larry? smile Thanks.
nice view point from here.
Ginnie Hart: It is definitely one of Budapest's best tourists spots, Ayush, because of the view! Thanks.

I am right awake.....I remember the heavy rain while you took this picture.....
It came out perfect to me smile
Love the misty view on the Parliament building.
Ginnie Hart: It was a very rainy day, yes, and cold, with remnants of snow still remaining. But it gave such a great moody feel to this incredible city. Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA.
Fantastic, shot, Ginnie- centered or not - it's really beautiful with the damp and the snow!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. It was rainy and cold that day but so full of beauty.

Great view from here Ginnie. Have a good week!
Ginnie Hart: Aha! Some things just never stay the same, Sir Phillips. smile Thanks.

Ooeoerr.. some snow! You've done well to get the details you have with the contrast.
Ginnie Hart: Snow at the end of March, Alan, yes. It was one of those cold, rainy days but we sure got some great views. Thanks.

Well you have made terribly negative comments about your own photograph ... If you want to beat yourself up over such minor subjective flaws then so be it ... [grin]

I think it's just about an alright shot Ginnie ... ha ha ha ha ha. I'm falling off my chair as I write this.
Ginnie Hart: If you think I'm bad, Richard, you should have heard my brother (who was actually an accomplished film photographer in his day...deceased 1996). He could always explain how he could have improved any image he took. But thanks. I guess we all can pick out our own flaws! smile
Wonderful image, great ideasmile Greetings
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Zielona.

Such beautiful framing.....and such an expansive magical view.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marcie. You'd fall in love with Budapest!
That is a stunning shot Ginnie. You can feel the cold and smell the snow!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Pauline. It was a messy, rainy, cold day but we did see some great atmospheric views.

Another snow picture to help us cool off on this hot day. By the time I get home from work, I might have to scroll through my winter files.
Ginnie Hart: The thing is, Mary, I have so many images of Budapest, I didn't want to wait till it snows again. HA! Thanks.

Whether or not the building should have been centered in the arch? A fine touch yes, but not a necessity.

The place was overrun by Japanese tourists, when I was there. Noiced the extent of mobile phone photography for the first time as a result.
Ginnie Hart: You're kind, Louis. Thank you! And yes, I do recall some Japanese tourists but probably not nearly as many in March as when you were there. smile
Snow and mist, the interesting side of bleak smile Well framed Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, John. Thank you, kind sir.
I'm amazed at how the light of this cold rainy day makes the texture of the arches and stonework stand out so clear and sharp, Ginnie. The soft image of Budapest's Parliament just adds to the wonderful atmosphere you've captured so well in the shot.
Ginnie Hart: You're such a sweetheart, Beverly. Thank you!
Love the mist! I think you did a great job!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Robin!

Nicely framed, depite your protestations...particularly like the light and textures.

And you're at it again - frightening me with elements of snow. Brrrr!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Thank you, George. The snow is all gone by now, for sure. smile I still have so many Budapest pics. Man! It's a city and a half!
Indeed I need to wake up... lots of partying on our wedding anniversary last Saturday night... 1920's style.
... I think I can peek into your nice Monday photo quite easily though.
Ginnie Hart: HA! It sounbds like you had quite the shindig, Jacquelyn. Congratulations again and again!
A wonderful viewpoint Ginnie! I like the architecture.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. I love just about any architecture in old Europe! smile
Don't fret Ginnie, it is a very good picture.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Brian. smile Thanks.

He he... You can just crop the left side a bit to cheat. Problem solved.
Ginnie Hart: That's not the part I was worried about, LC. HA!
