Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marcie. We we walking over one of Budapest's 7 or 8 bridges, crossing the Danube from Margaret Island after a full day walking the island. It felt like the rainy day was ready to go to bed. smile

A wonderful city, I am glad we could spend there 5 days to explore.
TGIF......
Ginnie Hart: I just remembered this morning that that was Easter Sunday, MLMA! It was a cozy, rainy day...but no rain while we walked the island. I will never forget Budapest and the time we had there to see what we wanted to see. What a great photo hunt! Hartstikke bedankt.

Beautiful lighting and a lovely presentation, too. It looks to be a fabulous place.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Alan. You'd love this city.
Love the atmosphere Ginnie! That green roof really catches my eye too smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Martin. That green roof/dome is the Buda Castle or Royal Palace and was situated on the other side of the Danube where our ship was docked in Budapest in March.
Superb, I really like the lighting ?, What time of the day was this picture taken ?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Devavrat. This was taken late afternoon on Easter Sunday, March 31st. It was a rainy day so it was already fairly dark and cloudy.

Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, dear Aussie.
A tale of two cities. smile
I miss Buda and Pest so much! smile
I love and hate them both. ;p
How strange?
Ginnie Hart: Two cities, indeed, LC. Now you have me wondering about your love/hate relationship with them!
It looks like a wonderful city, Ginnie. You've captured it so it looks like an old Italian painting with modern boats.
Ginnie Hart: You'd love this city, Pauline, I'm sure. And thank you for your kindest of words.
Looks like this could have been taken a long time ago. Really good, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary.
Not only have you treated us to a wonderful Boat Friday scene, Ginnie, but we get the extra bonus of viewing a stunning capture of Budapest as well.
Ginnie Hart: You always know how to make my day, Beverly. Thank you.

I just keep saying ohhhh deep in the heart of me. Such antique beauty, such moodiness and melancholy, such history. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhhhh. Me, too, Ruth. Budapest really did something to me...something Vienna did not. I'd love to spend time thinking about this more.... Thank you.
Nice lighting Ginnie, and the city looks fine from your viewpoint. You might recall my old choir were due to sing in Budapest the day you came home, well here http://www.shepshedsingers.org.uk/tours.php is a report of their trip and several pictures if you are interested.
Ginnie Hart: Now that you mention it, Brian, I remember that we just missed your choir. Thank you for the link! I will always be interested in what other people say and show of this great city. It really impacted both Astrid and me.
Like a postcard, but much more beautiful photo.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Sartenada. Thank you.
Looks like a gloomy day...
Ginnie Hart: It was rainy off-n-on, Larry. Exactly my kind of day! smile

I can almost pinpoint where you stood to take this picture, from my picture http://louis.shutterchance.com/image/2008/01/23/crossing-the-danube/ Your pictures brings back memories.

I like the processing.
Ginnie Hart: Isn't that amazing, Louis, to have such a sense in a huge city like this! We were on the Arpad Bridge at the northern tip of the island, looking back towards the city: http://www.ginniehart.blogspot.nl/2013/06/budapest-margaret-bridge-and-island.html Yes, indeed. Shared memories!
Gorgeous Ginnie. I like your take on it
Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Janet.

Ginnie Hart: Many kind thanks, Rian.
What do you like more Buda or Pest?
Ginnie Hart: WOW. Great question, Juan Carlos. I'd have to say Buda, because I'm an old-city girl. But Pest sure has its gems!
Budapest has a stunning cityscape.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, it does, Tom. We were quite taken by the city!
