Wonderful image Ginnie! I love the little smiley face on the side. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frances. That smiley face is just perfect for a Friday, isn't it! smile

Sure is a colour of note
Ginnie Hart: Even faded Dutch orange is a color of note, Adrian! smile
That is a beauty of a bike.
Ginnie Hart: I think it's had it's share of wear-n-tear, Michael. But it's still smiling, and that's what matters. smile
The color is lovely in your photo - the bike stands out so nicely! Have a nice weekend Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. I have a "thing" for orange bikes, as you'd guess. smile It'll be a hot weekend but we've learned how to keep our apartment cool, thankfully!

Great shot and I would not mind taking a ride on that 'vehicle....'
Love the stones in the road.
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA. This is so European, isn't it! smile And you know I especially love the ORANJE bikes.

Maybe it's owned by an exiled Dutch King or Queen, it's got a gold saddle too Ginnie..
Ginnie Hart: Or maybe a Dutch wannabe, Chris? I'm a sucker for these oranje bikes, you know. smile

I love the way you take a simple scene or subject and make it so special, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: You're so sweet, Big Sister! smile I'm such a sucker for oranje/orange bikes, of course.

I was watching the Tour de France last night; there's a "Dutch Corner", apparently, near Alpe d'Huez. Just a huge mass of orange spectators. The riders were on bikes very different to this one, though smile
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says there were 250,000 Dutch spectators on that hill yesterday, Alan. She actually recodred it so she could see it after work. THAT is definitely the Dutch Corner #16 because 8 times out of 27 a Dutch cyclist has won that etappe. It's a big deal for the Dutch! Each year Dutch people ride the hill up-n-down many times for children's cancer fundraising. Needless to say, I love oranje/orange! smile
You too ginnie. We are just trying to keep cool!! It is very hot here!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill. We're very lucky because we know how to keep our apartment cool. The doors are open now with a great breeze coming through. In an hour or so we'll close the doors and the place will remain cool the rest of the day. Others in our complex aren't as lucky...and are suffering. You've been here, so you can imagine it.

Orange? My school bike used to go orange with rust after being left out in all weathers.

I'd like that bike
Ginnie Hart: Ah, yes, Richard. The photographer's orange. smile
un vélo du tour de france ou votre vélo
Ginnie Hart: Neither, Keyouest, but it sure does remind me of the Tour du France...in its day! smile
Photo which stops a man. I love its different colors and cobblestone street.
Ginnie Hart: It stops a woman, too, Sartenada! grin Thank you.

So beautiful this yellow bike in a old road!
Ginnie Hart: It fits right in with all the "age," doesn't it, Helys! Merci.
The Dutch are coming!
OMG. they're everywhere. wink
How often do you see orange bicycles elsewhere? grin
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch are here to stay, LC. HA! They came, they saw, they conquered. grin You'd be surprised how many orange bikes I see everywhere we go...!

There are no cycles with such charm as the Dutchish ones Ginnie. I look forward to eyeing them up when I visit.
Ginnie Hart: You'll be up to your ears in bikes when you come, Chad. And the thing is, you need to start practicing looking to the left NOW...so you don't be caught off guard. They come from the other side of the road from where you live!!!

I love this photo! The orange of the bike is really wonderful, especially with that blue graffiti. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Ruth. I'm a real glutton for any orange bike I see, truth be told. smile
Nice bike Ginnie. Very eye catching colours. Hope you are having sunny weather too
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. And yes, lots of sunny weather but HOT for Dutch standards. Trying to stay cool. smile
Not only a Dutch Oranje bicycle for us to admire, Ginnie, but a fine bit of piperage for Chad as well.
Ginnie Hart: It always pays when you can include others in your images, Beverly, right?! grin Thank you.

nothing beats a bicycle photo. The smiley face is a nice touch, have a nice day!
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Rob. It's hard NOT to take pictures of bikes here in Dutchland...but I especially love it when I see bikes elsewhere, like here in Regensburg, Germany.

Nice composition Ginnie. I like the orange bike
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Marie. (And I hate that I still cannot comment on your site, even after rebooting. I'm not sure what the issue is but it appears to be on my side, since comments are being added by others.)

To reach my site, it may be necessary that you empty your temporary files. Sometimes it is it who blocks...
I saw that you had passed, thank you for having tried
Ginnie Hart: I will try that, Marie. If it works, you'll know...by my comment!

Not my favourite colour of bike to be honest but still worth a photograph as its in Dutchland.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Well, this bike is in Germany, reminding me of Dutchland, Brian. I couldn't resist it. smile

Great colour for a bike, though I'm not sure I would want to be riding it much on those cobbles smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Anne. You'd want to make sure your shock absorbers were in good working condition, that's for sure. smile
Beautiful photo, fantastic ideasmile Greetings
