Let's hope by now it's warm enough!

This is Lady Polder at the Marksburg Castle in Braubach, Germany, on March 19.

Built in 1117, it's Middle Rhine's best-preserved medieval fortress, never attacked in war.

Have a great weekend!

Nice shot, Ginnie,I wonder who ? smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frank. Actually, I think it was Bill who first called Astrid Lady Polder...or Lady P. I've quite liked the moniker ever since. smile

A wonderful image, Ginnie.

Astrid's stance suggests she might be saying "Wow! I think this stuff is called Sunlight!"

Awesome photo. You master photographer who can "play" with light and shadows. Also the view is interesting, because man can imagine only what there is to be seen further.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks for your kind words, Sartenada. The view really was spectacular, as was the sunshiny day!

"Lady Polder" -- love, love. Such a perfect name for Astrid. And, this is a picture worth framing! Look at the like on Astrid's hair, her relaxed stance, all framed so beautifully by the arched door and natural light. The stone work and history ....beautiful.
Ginnie Hart: One of our Shutterchance guys gave her the moniker, Sue, a.k.a. Lady P. Terms of endearment abound. smile Thank you.
Lovely stonework and light! A great shot and title for Spring, Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Martin.
This is a keeper, Ginnie. Love how those massive doors have been flung open to reveal the gorgeous scene beyond, drenched in sunlight, and with Astrid standing there taking it all in. Beautiful!
